Deeg is a troll, if she was not talking bs she would stay and reply to other post, and if it is so, then carlton is next, also anderson would still be there to take the gory to tell the world he was right to start the investgatiaon.d

Maybe Anderson stepped aside when he did because he knows a CEO position will be available should Schwab be found guilty?

Sorry, just in one of those moods where I look for conspiracy theories!

If, as is mentioned above, we are debating (bargaining) penalties it won't go to court.

Bargaining is admitting guilt.

McLardy said we will fight it out.

Off to court we go.

Not the worst tin foil hat theory I've ever heard.

My question is that if they are going to charge us for this are they now going to investigate all clubs that got a priority pick?

The mind boggles.

I would have thought it's quite a common practice from plea bargaining in criminal jurisdictions to employers asking employees what they think is appropriate under the circumstances when an employee has stuffed up.

Note, however, that I'm not commenting on whether it is or is not occurring in this particular instance.

If they ask us then we should say that we would be happy with Bailey getting 12 months suspension and the others two months each.

There is no way Melbourne alone can be singled out.

Instead of taking this to court and losing (which being the Melbourne football club, we will), the club should be sitting down with the afl this week and working on a plea bargain. Loss of our first 2 picks next year, a $200k fine and a fake apology (because we all know Carlton, West Coast, Collingwood etc tanked as well)

We cannot afford a serious punishment.

I'm hearing similar rumours. Including AFL asking the club what they feel would be a suitable punishment.

Only a dysfunctional AFL could ask someone how they want to be punished.

Response should be to suggest discussing penalties after the investigations into other clubs (notably Carlton & Richmond) are concluded.

If the response is that no other clubs are to be investigated, then jam your penalties and of to court we go.

I know deegirl is usually spot on but this is AFL knowledge, not Demons knowledge...

We will find out soon perhaps?

I hope no-one else thinks like this.

What a subjugated, defeatist attitude.

No..what we cant afford to do , nor ever do , is roll over like some pup as you suggest.

What a [censored] weak attitude , honestly.

If it's Deegirl from Demonology I believe she's virtually always on the money.

If this was actually the case, which I personally doubt, then why wasnt the club brought before the the AFL commission when they had the opportunity ?

More [censored] stirring !!

Unless someone hacked onto her demonology account its the same deegirl.

and that would stop someone hijacking the nic for here ?

It is interesting that on the 'ology site this is all she posted. "Just posted this on Demonland - looks like the AFL will officially charge MFC, Connolly, Bailey & Schwab with tanking."

Nothing else and no replies at all !!!!!!!

yuck....

The one big disclaimer I have stated since day one is we dont know what evidence the investigators have uncovered.

What we have all heard is

1/ a couple of players "vibes" about what "bails" was allowed and not allowed to do

2/ lines uttered by Chris Connelly at a meeting and a committee member at the Sydneyt game

3/ 3 games with "suspect" player positioning and interchanges

4/ no player was told to not perform

If thats all there is - then take it to the highest court in the land - heresay and subjective.

To my thinking, the only way we can be charged and the prosecution be successful is if the investigators have more on us than we have so far heard.

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
