IIRC this photo wast taken for a story on Stinga while he was trying to get back from his injury so this body he built never actually played for the MFC?

If my memory serves me correctly and it may not, he did come back and play some good footy but his career petered out due to back/soft tissue injuries?

edit: Wiki says "hip and buttock injuries"

Yes, I think you're right. Came back and played a handful of good games. Just enough to whet our appetite. Not sure what happened, but didn't he end his career with a brief stint with Sydney?

Just another of our LONG list of talent cut short in their prime with injury.

BTW, I wasn't real impressed with my Mum when she sent that nude poster of Stinga to my teenage daughter! Had it up on her wall for the longest time!

BTW, I wasn't real impressed with my Mum when she sent that nude poster of Stinga to my teenage daughter! Had it up on her wall for the longest time!

He was drafted in the 2001 PSD by the Swans but never managed a senior game.

He used to be my favourite!

No-one "likes" Stingas photo.

Wrong demographic maybe.

Might have been that the talk of "soft tissue injuries" put them off... I hadn't realised they could give you paper cuts.
