Velocity Sports' Lynch and Blucher at it again.

Lynch has been liberal with the truth before as we all know.

I wonder what THEY'RE hiding ?? Lol

The club has always claimed the extra clause was instigated by Tippett’s father, Tony, and his manager, Peter Blucher, whose own reputation and that of Alastair Lynch’s Velocity Sports is under serious scrutiny. But Adelaide, to its eternal regret, agreed to it.

What is it with this mob and players fathers....

From what I can see, they signed an official AFL contract and then signed a second contract which was kept from the AFL. The second contract said that after his official contract expired the Crows would trade Tippet to the club of his choice in exchange for a second round pick. This is the draft tampering bit, and to be honest I think it's a pretty weak case although the AFL will hit them with something for having a secondary contract that was not submitted to the authorities.

There is also some indication that Adelaide agreed to give him a lump sum severance payout of some sort, hence the salary cap questions. If they have in fact agreed to do this, the amount would have to be included in this year's salary cap and as such they may well be found to be over the limit. I think this is where any real penalties could come from.

It all made sense once this company was named.

Saul Goodman inc. in real life!

LOL. Love it WYL.

Is Phil Scully the white version of Saul's bodyguard!?!

How could Adelaide have entered into this agreement? They agreed to secretly pay him an extra $200k but they had enough room in their cap to do it legally!!!!!

It's bizarre.

Hope the AFL absolutely slams Lynch and Blucher.

Agree.

The CEO should be rolled for this.

Also up to their necks in the Fev to Brisbane debacle.

?????

I would have thought the deal they did for Fevola was brilliant for their client.

It was Brisbane that firetrucked that one.

If the AFL decides to conduct an investigation into Tippett's management team, then why should it not also widen the investigation into the way in which they handled Tom Scully's move to GWS. I understand poaching of contracted players is not allowed and there are question marks about the way that move was handled.

Let's hope that the AFL is dedicated to finding out the truth about the practices of clubs, players and their managers.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
