does anyone still think we are paying 'overs' for this guy?

Seems laughable now doesn't it? Worth every cent. Clark has proven to be a much better player than I thought when we got him, and strong leadership and work ethic seem to be part of his makeup. Still can't believe our luck.

Has anyone heard any FACTUAL updates on how his foot is progressing.

I don't want any BS along the lines that "my neighbour's 99 year old grandma saw him walking without apparent difficulty" etc, just FACTS.

His full recovery is about as pivotal to our progress as would have been a full recovery from the Ox's first knee reco.

You've suddenly made me very nervous.

Recruiting Mitch was just the start of the beginning.

No maybe Neeld.

Either way chuck in Grimes, Trengove , Howe, Jamar and Jones; and you have the beginnings of a great end result.

If you can't sell that then look out oblivion because here we come.

Neeld will sell arrogance to the Yanks in exchange for the moon or mars and plonk it at full back.

Then let's see some one try to out score us.

If we don't get the moon at pick 4, I haven't done my homework right.

Great to hear...love the bloke...coincidental leading into the trade period though..

MFC: "Mitch, mate, we are really battling at enticing anyone to the club, mind if we ask you some leading questions to help try and surround you with some decent players???"

Mitch: "Jesus Christ, I was told there would be plenty on board by now..how long to go? Three years am

I right? Okay...run with the I want to be a demon for life line..that always goes down well...."

Bluey,

1.Jamar's OK, he's got a big body; and there's more to go before his number comes up; thought Moloney was still producing this year.

Can't blame him for that.

2.Moon didn't die, he was traded down below; god got a new born demon for him name of VIney.

Mitch Clark's Lament

I'm real sorry ...... Mitch Clark

You took a stab in the dark

You chose the demons to make your mark

You must be watchin' Freo thinkin' "what the f@#$"

Could of had September action on the park

With a team run by a Lyon's bark

With more wind in its sails than the Cutty Sark

Instead your floatin' with a team on a Noah's Ark

Fighting for survival on seas so dark

Searchin' for your partner in the forward arc

I wish you more than an ounce of luck

A thousand apologies to you...Mitch Clark

I have asked before, but does anyone have any factual information about his progress and recovery?

Is he running now?

Apparently he was hobbling around like a 70 year old at the B&F (I wasn't actually there but knew people who were). Doubtful he's running unless the coaching staff are trying to change his running gait.

Anyone who was there care to elaborate?

A great representative of the club also. Was one of a handful of players whose interview snippets were used for the profiles of AFLPA MVP nominees. Other players interviewed were the likes of Petrie, Murphy and Cotchin. He spoke well and showed his understanding of what it takes to be an elite player.

For me, he's far and away the best thing to come out of 2012.

I actually p*****d off Mitch with a tweet, so I assume I got a 'good' answer when I asked him about the foot so after "ear bashing" me he said he was in the moon boot at the B & F coz it made people more careful about stepping on it, and the foot is progressing really well so he is looking fwd to being ready to go at the start of pre season

He was on crutches at the B&F. So was Fitzpatrick.

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89
