Just watched Mitch on Eddie's show and was very impressed with the lad and the way he spoke, mentioned how he had learnt a lot of things off voss, brown, black, scott bros, leper etc. Also showed his emotions when talking about the great man, Jimmy,(quote) "it was just his presence" when asked by ed, what was it about Jimmy?

It would seem he really loves it at the Dee's and wants to lead from the front and is relishing his role down forward. Wouldn't mind if he was made captain, reckon he could b a bit more game turning & inspiring to his team mates than our current co capt's.

Worth watching if possible people.

Ed also noticed that he started to tear up when discussing Jimmy. Even though he only met Jimmiy a couple of times, it clearly had a profound effect on him.

I know it's stating the obvious, but Clark's been worth every dollar of the investment the club made, despite the season ending injury..

Some of our players should just watch the big man in action to learn what the term 'ultra-competitive spirit' means.

If only we took Ben Hudson...

Ah yes...the day Leigh Matthews lost all credibility. Remember it well..

I watched as well and thought apart from his obvious unease at being in the spotlight he spoke very well.

He enjoys having a role up forward.

Some interesting comments on Jurrah who is obviously well liked in the club.

Clearly a recruiting success which bodes well for us going forward.

A great pickup in a year of pretty ordinary results. I wonder where we'd be without him to be honest...

Here it is...

An all-round impressive lad. Let's hope that the likes of Clark are a sign of things to come at the MFC.

OMG - that flying leap when he lands on his head still makes me cringe. Love Mitch - he's a top bloke. Love having him at the Dees.

I'm pretty certain that I am emotionally, physically and spiritually in love with Mitch Clark.

He is the bestest thing to have happened to our club in a shitload of time.

Just please please please let his foot heal properly!

I would have him and Nathan Jones in my bed in an absolute second.

And I'm saying that as a straight man.

I'll just watch if that's all right-for god sake dont injure them.

Yeah Matthews-knows nuthin' .

I know it's still early days, but I reckon Clark could very well be the best lateral recruit we've ever landed.

I was absolutely stoked when we got him, but I had no idea at the time he'd be as good as he's ended up being.

We've had a blinder here.

Dare I say it... Just hoping for a ful recovery. We need this bloke, not just becuase we ween a bloody good forward ( we do ) but he brings a vigour and passion to his role that many could emulate.

Its his level of commitment and professionalism which we need to replicate through the team.

You can understand why we went hard to get him.

The recruitment of Clark was amazing for a number of reasons.

But what gives me the most confidence about it, is that clearly Neeld and co. can spot talent.

Many scoffed when we chased him, many things were said. But he has turned out exactly as Neeld and co. wanted

And this is what really intrigues me as to who is in the crosshairs currently for recruitment. That was all done on the run, this time round we have a different FD with different views and having had a good year to prepare. it bodes well ( for mine )

Well if the reports are to be believed, we offered a large contract to MacKay from the Crows.

One certainly from left field, but must fit the profile they're looking for

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
