McKenzie is a hard one to judge. Low skill level, high commitment. He did a great shut down job today. tom McDonald will be our best defender and maybe move forward...Garland...Doesn't go in too hard, has skills..no comment.

I think you judged it well except for your third point. Cotchin had 28 touches today, Jordie quelled him at the stoppage but was murdered on the spread, he is currently half a tagger. He is no star but could be important to our side. 3 year contracts should be only about necessity (clubs are banging down the door to sign him) or to believe they will have a break out year and this will save you cash in the medium term. I see neither here.

Pains me to say it because the guy has a real dip, but McKenzie is a year to year proposition for mine. Horrid disposal should render him a role player who may or may not get a game in a decent side. Three years is extraordinarily generous.

I don't what some of you are worried about - we go on and on about the 'dead wood' and want to give the rest short contracts at best. We will have 10 players gone every year and half the list to sign up every two years.

It isn't feasible.
