I have to ask, WTF did they put Garland back on the ground? Seriously dumb risk!

I must say i thought the same thing during the game..Poor old Judy could hardly walk.

Sorry but that was a Bad Call from the Medical staff.

You know that do you? You know that the medical staff has exacerbated the injury? Can I have an appointment, doctor?

And how many goals did Edwards kick on him in the 2nd quarter because he couldn't walk, let alone run?

It would be bad enough if it was a medical decision. But if it was a decision made by the coaches, it's worse.

Rohan Bail (knee) - 4-6 weeks - Evans

Jack Fitzpatrick (ankle) - 7-9 weeks - Cook

Colin Garland (ankle) - 6-8 weeks - Rivers

Jack Grimes (foot) - season - Strauss

Mark Jamar (knee) - 3-5 weeks - Gawn

Jared Rivers (ankle) - test

Tom Scully (knee) - 3 weeks

Jake Spencer (knee) - season

Didn't that go from good to bad quickly.

i wonder if the decision to sub had any influence. it appeared in the second that col was really struggling with it. would the footy dept thought if we can squeeze some minutes out of col it will help the rotatins?

Gee..add Trengove and Dunn to that list and its nearly half the team missing this week.

Farrrk losing Garland for this long is a massive blow, so important in our drive from the backline and our structure is buggered without him. Tom Scully's knee is our worst enemy.

Anyone stop to think that it was Garland that said he was right? I don't recall Bailey or any of the medico's having an Xray maching up their a$$.

anyone think that they sent him back out and after a few minutes, he signaled no it's no good, can i come off..he looked to the bench before half time too and wanted to come off.

So are you saying that Garland asked to come off, but our bench (which includes coaching staff and medico's) told him to stay on?

We have some issues at the Club at present, but I firmly believe that we would not be stupid enough to risk player safety/injury management.

Mate i walk on crutches myself every day...so when someone has a clear limp i notice it.

Have you any idea how many bones make up an ankle joint??

And no i am not a doctor, but i do know how to read certain books to enhance knowledge.

Garland was clearly injured, and by continuing to put weight through the ankle has made it worse.

Who has the final word on that decision???

... especially with the absence of Grimes.

On another note, what's the exact definition of a Long Term Injury? We can promote 2 rookies for Spencer and Grimes. But does Fitzpatrick's 8+ weeks constitute "long term" enough to promote another one?

I was sitting close to the interchange bench and distinctly noted Garland nodding his head in a 'she's right ' manner when he returned from the dressing room after initial treatment

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had

    CENTIMETRES by Whispering Jack

Our game is one where the result is often decided by centimetres; the touch of a fingernail, a split-second decision made by a player or official, the angle of vision or the random movement of an oblong ball in flight or in its bounce and trajectory. There is one habit that Melbourne seems to have developed of late in its games against Carlton which is that the Demons keep finding themselves on the wrong end of the stick in terms of the fine line in close games at times when centimetres mak
