Gday Demonland members, I have a very well constructed dog house in the mighty Demons colours that we are giving away. Our family is moving interstate and I thought I would offer this great kennel to another Demons supporter rather than throwing it away. It is about chest high and would suit most dogs. Waterproofed and great paint job. The kennel is free, so all you would need to do is arrange to pick it up from my factory in Moorabbin. Please let me know if you are interested? David

That would be a great trade for us. I see Moloney has been dropped again this week, so I think his future is being made quite certain to him - TRADE! You could add to the Molony plus pick 13 trade with Bate & Bennell for all I care. We would be getting a future A grade mid for blokes who are 'ok' at best.

Actually, Judd said he was leaving. The Eagles certainly did not want to trade him. If any player (such as Sam Reid) tells their club that they will not be signing a new contract, then fair enough, throw around your trade ideas to get said player as per the Judd scenario. However until we hear that a player is walking away from their club because they want to return to their home state, then the suggested trade deals for Reid, Dangerfield, Bartel (please!!) are just ridiculous.

I cannot believe the stupidity of some of the posts in here!! Adelaide are NEVER going to trade Dangerfield. Sydney are NEVER going to trade Reid. Geelong are NEVER going to trade Bartel. Clubs dont trade their best players. They just don't. Geelong did not trade Ablett. He left. For $1.5m a year for God's sake! Secondly, Matthew Bate is currently a set of steak knives. He would be thrown in to sweeten a deal. There is absolutely no market value in him what-so-ever! The only trade targets MFC should entertain are for big forwards. Jessie White, Mitch Clark, Taylor Walker, Lachie Hansen, etc.. the 2nd stringers who might have improvement in them. For someone in this category we would have to offer up a quality trade. Colin Sylvia (if he wants out), Cale Morton. No one else I would want to trade has market value for a player such as these. Get real people. Next someone will post that we trade Bartram for Pendelbury.

Everyone keeps overlooking Gavin Brown. The more imput Gary Lyon has, the more likely he will be given top billing.

If he is ANY chance at all, it has to be Worsfold, Worsfold, Worsfold!! I would much rather see the mighty Demons move heaven and earth for him, than try for Malthouse who belittles our club every chance he gets.

My understanding of our list problems at the end of this season, is that we will need to make at least 5 spots available on our senior list. Thats 5 delistings of current players we need to come up with. If we want to retain Evans and Nicholson, they need to be upgraded off the rookie list (if we think other clubs will poach them). Thats 2 spots needed. Is Jack Viney coming in this draft or the next? If its this year, then there is another place required. Plus we would naturally expect to use our 1st and 2nd round draft picks from the National draft (excluding Viney). Another 2 spots. So thats a minimum 5 delistings without trading (unless we traded for lower picks). So lets hear your 5? eg: Bate, Dunn, Wonnamearri, Spencer, Warnock

Malthouse - not a chance Clarkson - not a chance Eade - very slim chance Choco Williams - potentially Laidley - I can see that Viney - with his son there? Difficult! You're not giving us many options in your summation. You have to throw Gavinn Brown in the mix because it would be Garry Lyon's #1 choice. So if he is as much of a powerbroker as people say, then Brown is a huge chance.

I love the optimism, but I think we can forget about Clarkson. I wish everyone would stop putting him at the top of their lists. Its just not going to happen. Why on earth would Hawthorn let him go?? Jeff Kennett has created a rod for his back by declaring his contract talks are on hold till season's end. I'm sure behind the scene's, Dunstall and Pickering are already ironing out the terms, but in an effort to save face (on Kennetts behalf), official re-signing will be on hold till after their last game. Highly unlikey we would go for a rookie coach. MFC will not want to gamble our list on anything other than an experienced coach. Clarkson - will be resigned by Hawthorn (why would they look anywhere else??). Malthouse - extremely unlikey. Eade - Would have to leave Bulldogs. Why would he? (please don't say our list is better. We have zero proof of this) Laidley - possibly.. But we need a proven coach. What has he proved? Mark Williams - I think should be shortest odds, but may have set himself up in GWS and not keen on moving on again so soon. Neil Craig - maybe, but very similar to Bailey. Roos - has repeatedly said he is not interested. Connolly - no thanks. In summary, we are stuffed. If its going to be a rookie coach, I'd love to get Gavin Brown.

Wowsers!! Big call. I rate Adam Maric a mile ahead of Wona. Maric is obviously finding it hard to get a game at the moment, but he has a heap of improvement in him and is more versatile (can play midfield if required). I'm looking forward to seeing a more mature and disciplined Maric as a result of being dropped back to Casey, if a spot opens up for him.

I dont see anyone from the interchange list being a suitable sub. Morton needs to string some good games together and I thought last week he looked as if he is starting to do just that.. Joel Mac - no point as a sub. Gysberts - unlikey to use a clearance player in that role Jurrah - needs to find form, either full game in seniors, or at Casey. I wouldn't be surprised if Garland was a late withdrawal for Blease and he was made sub.. Good team though. C'mon you magnificent Demons! Tear 'em apart!!

Bit stiff on Jake 'the push-up' King. Wasn't a lot in it. Poor record must have been deciding factor, because it was a low impact at best. Happy to see him in the stands this weekend though!

Russian will have kept himself pretty fit from my experience with this injury. Most exercise is possible, including swimming and bike and even training after 2-3 weeks. Just no sudden change of direction or contact for 3 weeks. Plus I think they have stated that they would like him to play predominantly in the forward line until he gets match fit. What a great situation to have Martin is such great form to be able to do this. After the North Melbourne game I reckon all Demon supporters were ready to chop their own leg off to give Jamar a new knee to get him back out there..

Ok.. He said he is good friends with Malthouse, and he definately wants to continue coaching next year. He also said Scully is the best trainer he has ever seen, and he does not want to go to GWS. However the stongest talk he has heard around the corridoors is that Collingwood are trying to make a deal happen for him. He reckons Collingwood are secretly trying to trade for one of GWS low picks. Obviously that is just a rumour that he said was currently strong around the inner sanctum, so please don't everyone jump down my throat. But he was certain Scully would only go to a Victorian based club if he decided to leave, and that his management have told him not to sign until they know who is coaching Melbourne next year?

I was at a wedding over the weekend and Bohdan Babijczuk was there. Naturally I spent the night harassing the poor bloke about all things Demons, and in particular I asked his opinion of Jack Viney. He said he will be a great player but he is in the process of changing the way he runs. Apparently his running style was leading to severe groin and other soft tissue related injuries. Bohdan told me that Todd specifically asked him to watch Jack in his games this year and his first comment was, "he will never last in AFL football unless he works very hard on changing his running style". I've never heard of this before but apparently it is very common in young players. Anyway, he went on to explain that his performances may be up and down this year and not as good as we expected from his early assessments. But its great news to hear that they identified this early because the Demons are recruiting him regardless of his Vic Metro form as they know that he is working on this. PS: I could start a new thread titled "my hazy recollections from annoying the hell out of Bohdan Babijczuk on Saturday night".

All these posts and only one person has mentioned dropping Jurrah (Deefence)! SURELY Jurrah needs to regain form/confidence/ability back at Casey, because he looked completely lost for three quarters yesterday. It was only when the game was iced in the last quarter that Bailey threw him on ball and he got some touches. Otherwise he looked completley shot. We could be playing with one less man if he gets a game next week, so bad was he yesterday. IN: Jamar, Gysberts OUT: Jurrah, Garland (inj) (Bennell to stay in and play on Nahas)

Warnock has to come in to bolster the backline. I love Rivers, but one out against Dawes or Cloke could be a massive test. Would be good to have a back-up tall defender. I'd also like to bring in Maric if any charges are required. He would be chomping at the bit to put a few 'legitimate' goals through against The Filth. Please no more debutants for a while. Starting to look like Gold Coast already. Great for Evans and Nicholson to get a run, but surely they have to be the first omitted for the blokes coming back from injury or after some penance in the reserves (Bartram, Pettard, Maric).
