  1. The season has to be shot now. Way too hard to come through, too many big injuries to key players. No Garland, Trengove, Jamar, Bail, Scully.. Leaves huge holes in the team, that cant be filled.
  2. Ok, so after recent event i am wanting to know how T Scully is travelling?? Does anyone out ther know the extent to his injury and how much longer he will be on the sideline. Will be underdone coming in, but in light of recent events, it would be great to get some more hard running class out on the field??
  3. Post how can you say this?? he has won every B&F for the club and a brownlow and has got them to the finals.. He is a champion player and his performance on the weekend was propably his best yet..
  4. Good point, i did notice a couple of big tackles that were laid, especially by Clint Bartram, however he has always been a great defensive player. I have noticed that our players have gotten much bigger and stronger, which enables them to stand up in the tackle more, and win more contested posession..
  5. I agree, he is a solid defender who usually beats his opponent on the day.. There is no reason for him not to be in the side, as he is does his job week in week out..
  6. ont tell me that you heard it off eddie t can of worms that he opened about sculls.... i wouldnt read too much into it
  7. Couldnt agree more, will have close too our full strength team a couple of weeks in, and there are too many BIG games in that period.. Shoul beat sydney on Sunday as they have some keys out as well
  8. They wont win many, if the struggle at the start of the season, then they are in serious trouble as ware and tear will take a toll on all of the young bodies
  9. He has had knee problems for a while, over training i am guessing.. a bit worried about Jordie, i think that is the reason he slipped so far into the drft and then into the RD.... hope he gets over it soon, he hsa huge potential and i a key part of our emerging midfield
  10. well said, bruce didnt cope all to that well with our gamestyle, and will strugle with Hawthorns
  11. I completely understand your point, in that it would provide better competition within the team, which would them force the players to get more out of their playing abilities. I think this is the only way to manage your team whilst you are competing for the ultimate prize. But i still believe to get the players into a position where they will be best prepared for that time, they need to play consistently against the best opposition. Jack Watts as a junior, against bodies that were of similar size to his, was a dominant KPF, so he needs to time to adjust to the bigger and stronger afl hardened bodies, which he can only get through games experience
  12. a relapse is a relapse. The fact that he thinks that gambling in poker tornaments is ok, after he lost thousands on the horses, means that he is in serious trouble, and needs both support and guidance. He is no where near the road to recovery yet.
  13. Jack Watts is a 19 yo kid who has had one real season under his belt, with one real preseason. He needs to get as much game time into him before MFC are ready to contend for that elusive premiership. Leaving him out of a developing side would be a mistake. He has shown enough to earn his spot in the best 22, and will only get better with time and size as it has been noted by everyone that is in a position to know...
