The Great Robert Flower said that he went into every single game thinking the team was going to win, otherwise what was the point of playing. PJ is the opposite of Robbie. His comments about playing one final in 2016 is a completely defeatist attitude. So basically this year is write off. According to PJ don't bother going to the games or signing up new members as we are still rubbish and we have no hope of making the finals this year.

PJ just lost 5000 members by basically saying we will be no good this year. What about at least trying to make the finals this year!!! Why say anything?

I'm positive that we will be fighting for eight spot. Heretia Lumumba and Jeff Garlett are excellent pick-ups and add to our team and i have faith that with a another pre-season under Roos the team will be much fitter, drilled and focused. And don't forget we have a top draft pick who is ready to go and will have a instant and bigger impact than Boyd and all this years draftees.....our own Jess Hogan.

My gut feel is that it will be two players - One A grade and one potentially A Grade.

I saw the goal as well. It is the greatest goal ever. He took on half the Essendon team and beat them all. The whole crowd including all Essendon supporters gave him a standing ovation. Never seen such an ovation for a opposition player before or since. The goal is not on film. World on Sport had Robbie in on the next day just to discuss the goal as they (WOS) said they had no vision of it to show viewers.

This is just heartbreaking. Robert Flower was the most elegant player that played the game during the 70's and 80's....He was the only reason i went to watch the Dees during the dark days of that period. RIP. Truly a legend of the highest order.
