Well to all those who go to every game played in Melbourne, move over and make room on the band wagon.

Great crowd. I hope lots mon-members signed up last night, or plan to do so during the week.

Been saying it for years, the Dees fans are some of the loudest going around.

Yep, i reckon the undercover seats in the old red seat section we've been "upgrading" ourselves into will be occupied before too long and we'll be in our non weather proof reserved seats (seats i haven't needed to sit in yet this year ;-)

But plenty of parking at the G for more bandwagons, roll up roll up!

im starting to regret playing footy up in the bush now that i will miss alot of games compared to last year :(

Wasnt there supposed to be 5000 international students??? I reckon a few of them might be signing up..

Well said.

Some of our friends got accussed as being more patriotic that Collingwood supporters- we took that as a huge compliment. Go JD & FAMILY.

The international students will have helped. But 36,000+ is a fantastic result.

Not many other clubs could pull that much vs Brisbane on a coldish, wettish Saturday night.

And it's been said, but I'll say it again. 30,000 Melbourne supporters sound like 60,000 supporters from any other club.

I sit in the MCC and sometimes find myself frustrated with lack of noise, but the MCC always have the loudest cheers at the ground.

With regards to the crowd, it was a fantastic surprise to see the 36,000 number up on the board and about 16,000 more than I expected or thought were there. I must say though, there were a lot of Brisbane people (in fact we were outnumbered where we were) and then there were 6,000 international students. I would have said there was between 8,000 to 10,000 Brisbane people, but still a good turn out on a wet ordinary night. It is good to see all the Melbourne "supporters" back. It was about half full Saturday night in the Kaspersky seating and by the end of the season and next, I hope we have them full. When we're doing well, both wings are quite full too. We can get 40,000 members with Jimmy's board in place next season, providing we reach 8 to 10 wins and hold onto all our young talent.

Agreed. I still remember a game against Port Adelaide a couple of seasons ago, when only 9,000 attended, but that day we sounded like 60,000.

I was thinking god I hope we get 20,000 to the game jsut so we don't have to hand out a cheque. So when 36,000 was posted up on the screen I was rapt. If that game was a year ago we would have got half that, probably less. Trust me I sit in the mcc memebrs (Yes im also a MFC member) and there was a lot of noise going on. Trengove practially got a standing ovation when he came off after kicking his 1st goal. Michael Roberts kept saying on the radip about us supporters and how much noise we are making. I loved the atmosphere last night.

No chance 8-10,000 Brisbane fans. You were at another game I think. There were max 3-5000 Brisbane fans. If 6000 were international students and 10,000 were Brisbane, there would only have been 20,000 Dees fans. We outnumbered them by waaaaaaaaay more than 2:1 last night.

On the train in to the G, I noticed a sea of Melbourne fans flocking to the game. I go on the same train about the same amount of time before every game and there are not usually that many Melbourne fans on the train. Not even close. I reckon next home game will be a massive turn-up if we beat the Roos.

Just watching the replay on afl.com.au now, and I'm not sure if it's Foxtel having their FX-mic turned up to the max, but when that disgusting free-kick was paid against Bennell for the "bump" I could have sworn there were 70,000 there. I know I was one of them going ape shizen in the MCC members, and pretty much everyone around us was going off.

Third week in a row now that I have lost my voice completely.

I sound like somebody slashed my vocal chords.

Good to have big crowds again, but sitting in my reserved seating, I always feel a slight sense of anger towards the people who have suddenly started turning up again. Where were you in the last two years?

The Biggest Roar was when TJ got pinged holding the ball in front of us on the wing in the last quarter, also when Junior kicked that goal as soon as it left his boot the MCC members started to go nuts, Good Times, :)

Go DEES!

I only managed to get there at 3/4, but was so impressed with the noise generated by the crowd.

Bring on the Roos! Hopefully we can get a massive crowd for that one as well.

Just because we aren't sitting in our reserved seat doesn't mean we aren't there. I upgraded to a redleg seat this year but haven't used it because people keep wanting to come with us, I've been sitting in GA and hard selling our future to prospective members.

We've promised ourselves we'll use them against the Bullies, friday night, big game, gotta christen our seats. Can't wait to use my upgraded membership for the first time.

The loudest roar was that insanely stupid decision against Bennell, just about everyone around us was standing and screaming! Great crowd, let's hope for many more!

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
