It's not a Grand Final for me if I don't have a couple or three, visit the barbie regularly and yell out support for one team.

(Imagining its Melbourne in different colours!)

For me there's no choice.

I hope the Cats win by 40 plus.

I'm working in Geelong at the moment, for a company that sponsors the Cats. If I barracked for anyone else on Saturday I'll be an outcast for life.

Oh and I hate Hawthorn.

I like both teams because they represent what can be achieved by a rebuild and give me hope. How many established players have either team picked up from other clubs, not many.

Dew, Guerra, Croad (sort of), Mooney, Ottens.

Good recruiting and development, hard work and discipline, toughness. A good blueprint for the dees to follow.

Cats for mine.

Sorry to buck the trend here, but i am hoping for a Hawks win.

Cats supporters have gone from hopeful last year, to just down right arrogant this year.

Same thing will happen with the Hawks next year if they win, and then i'll be hoping they lose.

Couldn't care who wins, I'll probably watch the game but care factor=0 on the result. I'm hoping the biff makes a reapperance though just to make it entertaining.

I always barrack for the Victorian team in a Grand Final. There's only one playing this week, so I'll be barracking for the Cats. By the way, I'm probably the biggest Tom Harley fan in Australia, and I'm pretty sure he plays for the Cats, too.

But I hate the GEE-long chant with a passion! It's Juh-long, not GEE-Long, for Godsake!

I'm barracking for a good game. This has been the worst finals series since 1969. If the Grand Final is a thrashing, the 2008 finals series could well go down as the worst finals series of all time.

if it is anything like the last gf both teams were in , in 1989, boy it will be good , nothing beats that grand final

Dont like the Hawks because of my arsewipe of a brother! But love Shane Crawford. Would'nt mind the Cat's winning it again. The best team all year by far!

Having said all that!

I would like the Crawf to hold up that cup!

That's a good point. With an average margin of about 40 points, it's been a pretty crappy couple of weeks of footy.

Cats for me.

Hawthorn are already considerably more arrogant than the Cats, and they haven't won anything yet.

My ideal result would be not so much a massive blowout but rather the Hawks giving their all, doing their best, putting in 110% and bleeding for the jumper etc... and still never really having a sniff. Margin of 31 from start to finish would suit me.

Would be very surprised if the Cats dont win 3 flags in a row

I can also see them breaking their own 23 games without loss record

Just like last year the cats will win easily

Hawks are just not quite a complete 4 quarter team yet

Watching the Dees this year pretty much drained me of any interest in footy for the short term. I'm on end of season break already, don't know if I'll even bother to watch.

Correct, an absolute classic that had it all. For me, I hope it will live up to that game. Cats by 17 points. In a relatively close game that will stay close until the end of the last quarter, experience the difference. Jimmy Bartel for the Norm Smith.

As pantaloons mentioned, this has been such an incredibly boring finals series, which is odd considering how exciting and even the home and away series was (for teams between 4th and 12th, obviously not for us).

I've been on Geelong's bandwagon all year, but they're getting a bit arrogant to me. Plus I'd like to see Crawford win too. But I just can't barrack for Jeff Kennett's team. So I'm going for Geelong.

GO CATS.... hope they smash Hawks very early.

Who wants to see the smug arrogant faced Kennett  , should hawks win... NOT ME. Kennett picked on our mighty club, so I hope the "thug" hawks get belted !!!

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
