Will White be right?

OR

Could big Meeson get an unlikely run??

He is slowly getting better, will get a go next year, no doubt, no chance to be delisted, hasd such athletisicsm, that he does need to really be given every chance!

I hope they don't ask Stef to help out, id rather just give Meeson a run!

Jeff, well breing a great club man, appreciate all he's done, but again, id rather see Meeson thrown in!

John Meesen named in the best for Sandy today. Should be enough for the call up to help us against Port Adelaide. After 3 years in South Australia with the Crows, surely he would at least be familiar with his surroundings.

I'd be stoked if John was included.

We would get a close look at him and would do something amazing for his confidence.

Well, big Meesen was in the best for Sandy this week, so I'd give him a run if Whitey isn't right. If he plays, it's fitting that we're going over to Adelaide this week.

If White is fit then he will ruck. Meesen has only put together one good game in a row and I will wait until I get the report from someone who actually saw it before I give him that praise.

well, by the few ppl ive spoken to today, he was excellent!

I know its only one game, but there is far more to gain by playing John than Jeff!

Throw him in, let him run.. why not?

i think johnson and jamar are the ones who will take over the ruck in the future after white leaves... BTW he is out of contract too!

Agreed. I dont kow how anyone can lobby for his inclusion on an unsubstantiated performance after a season of poor showings. Anyway, the Tigers dont have any big men of note so if there was ever a game that Meesen could show somethin it is here. But Bob is right on this.

White, only if fit. Otherwise Meesen.

Just use Silva as third man up all day. Can't go any worse.

No.

I thoroughly believe in requiring players to earn it. That rules Meesen out.

White by default, if he's fit. If he's not... well, I hate to think.

Even I can see that if everything was purely on form then Adem would have had a gig by now. Dean can say what he likes about it all being on 'form' but he has his agendas..and rightly so..thats what a coach is about surely !!. So simply saying that White is a monty may not necessarily carry weight.

I'll wait for the various spins given by the club leading up to the next round

Yze who has show an habitual dislike for doing the basic head over the football requirements may not have the form required. I dont think an appearance in the best for Sandy in the newspaper is an automatic basis for inclusion. A player like Yze has more ability than most in the VFL and can turn it on without performing the requisite criteria that a Coach would value for selection in the AFL. The guy is an anathema to the game plan and culture MFC are trying to cultivate and this week will be probably be told he is not wanted next year and his MFC career is finished after R22. He will probably get a send off game in R22 nevertheless.

Rhino.in case it may hav escaped your attention over the years..I am also one of Oozes greatest critics. However he HAS listed wel lfor most of the year as a mamber of teh Zebs..and as thats his only means of impressing..then by comparison to tohers on the lists then he ought wel lhave ben considered for games..indeed was named emergency onmore than one occasion.

The point I made..which you seemed to have missed.. is that Dean DOES have his agendas..and its NOT about form solely..So who knows who might front next week.

Measuring it by appearing in the best at Sandy may represent the "form" you require and given that Yze makes a number of appearances in the best and does not get selected may mean your criteria for "form" is different to the Coach's criteria without necesarily having agendas. On the basis of the way Dean's wants them to play and the way Yze has played I can see that Yze's "form" would not excite Bailey in the least.

If we did not have a long list of injuries, I doubt Yze would be in our top 25 to 30 at any time.

Totally agree. Except I think the word you're looking for isn't anathema, it's antithesis. But that's not to detract from what is otherwise a fantastic post.

Why can't we let Jamar ruck the whole game on his own?

White did it for 10 seasons, and we're hardly playing for finals here.

As far as I'm concerned, no other available ruckman on our list deserves a game. Bring in Petterd to replace PJ and we'd be miles better off than having a disinterested White or a seriously poor Meesen. If worse comes to worse and Jamar goes down, Martin can have a short stint in the ruck.

Great timing :o

If fit, White.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
