Green and Miller the two standouts. Green gets my nod as he can do the job for 2-3 years whilst a long term leader is developed.

I'd love to say Brock was a candidate but he's a bogan who's offseason was poor to say the least. You need to lead on and off the field to be captain of an AFL club these days.

Agree. McLean would be ahead in the Bluey at that stage of the year, with Green. Pulled his head in considerably and worked very hard.

Green isn't a vocal leader, he has only recently become someone who leads by constant example. I think he would get voted into the leadership group if the players had it now, he really has been good this year.

But, McLean is a leader. Sometimes leaders can be d!ckheads and still be the right man for the job.
