The thing i've noticed about Toumpas in the AFL so far is that he looks scared to take the game on, scared to make a mistake. Whenever he gets the ball he seems to look sideways or backwards to find an easy target.
With a bit more confidence he should be using his elite kicking skills to go long and direct i'd hope.
Can't really remember what it was specifically but there was a passage of play where he not only put in a hard second effort but then he put in the third. He won me over at that point.
Wingard (pick 4 2011) looked pretty damn average in his first year last year. Now i've seen him twice this year, he has really come on. IIRC he was also drafted straight out of the SANFL.
Wines was always going to impact straight away. Everyone needs to stop blowing their loads early and give Jimmy T a couple of years.
Daveys turn around in perceived form so far this pre season has been tremendous. In the early training reports he was apparently the least fit, looking uninterested etc. Good on him for putting in the hard work!
