How many people here were actually at the game?

I actually thought there was a decent number of Dees supporters at the game yesterday.

It sh*ts me though when you have moron Doggies fans call up the radio and blame the bad crowd on our fans. You are 2nd on the ladder, and it's your home game, you should be able to get 30,00 of your own supporters there yourselves.

I know. Saints supporters didn't show up either. Too bad the doggies can't beat us in the membership and they are second on the ladder!!!

Have to say I thought it was a shocking turnout from D`s fans. As I walked from the train station til I walked in the gates I doubt I saw more than 20 D`s fans. I heard the call on MMM and I had to agree that it was our fans that didnt show up! Sat next to an top bloke, older Demon`s fan and he agreed we are the most fickle fans in the comp.

Had to listen to that moron BT go on about how Melbourne fans don't turn up before the Dogs game.

Saying this despite the fact that our average attendance for home games this year is better than the following teams:

Port Adelaide,

Brisbane,

North Melbourne,

Geelong,

and the team that we were about to play whilst he said it,

the Western Bulldogs.

Joke.

Obviously it's still not where we would all like it to be, but with the smallest supporter base in the game, we go alright IMO

I was there, it's always depressing to look at the Melbourne area for TD games.

I was there - actually bought my reserved tickets on the pre-release day sale for AFL members before the season started. I bought 5 tickets thinking all my kids would want to go - turns out only 1 wanted to come!

Rather than let them all go to waste, my son invited 2 of his mates along - only condition was they HAD to barrack for Melbourne no matter how bad the score got.

One of these boys comes from a die-hard Collingwood family and he has been to so many games with us that he is starting to turn! Imagine what I could do to him if we had a good year!

I couldn't get anyone to cover for me at work. I managed to get some reception and had the game on radio whenever I was out the back.

We were going to have it on TV in the store, but some damn construction workers cut our antenna.

BT is a moron, i can't believe he was voted #1 in the Hun's survey, i put him last with a bullet.

I was there, level three aisle 5, in front of the feral with brown hair, blonde mullet, missing his 4 front teeth, screaming out about playing with "big willies" looking like an ugly Danny Southern.

Robbo looked depressing when he came out after the boys before the game in the moon boot with two crutches, moving terribly. Poor guy needed assistance to hop up through the gate from the ground!

Good to see Flash getting high 5's from the Doggies fans though.

Was there but that stadium isn't fit to wipe the scrotum of our magnificent MCG. I don't blame Dee's fans for not going, I only went because I'm obsessed with the team this year.

Very opinionated stuff here. Since there weren't many of us there. Would be interesting to see how many post here. You do see lots of things live you don't get on the tv.

Guilty, i couldnt go because of year 12. But i totally agree nothing compares to actually going to the game compared to watching it on tv because there is so much more that you can see and you are not confined to the dodgy camera work of channel 10.

I was there, surrounded by Dogs fans.

Telstra Dome is a horrid place, colder than a morgue and with about as much atmosphere too.

Yep. I had to wait behind some poor Melbourne supporter for like 10 minutes pre-match as the ticket seller fumbled around with the computer. I have a strong dislike for the Dome, which I guess explains why there were so few Melbourne supporters there.

Parked underneath and caught the lift up to level 3. Got in the lift and thought i saw Wee Man from Jackass!!! Couldnt see too many other dees on the 50 at the Plugger end. Not too many flags about either. Our numbers were thin but we still outranked them hands down in the intelligence stakes. Had my hands on my phone and wallet the whole game. Spewing i can only make it to two more games this year. Damn those free overseas working trips!!!!!

I'm glad you're trying to convert those boys, because I sure as hell haven't had any success! :D

At least I'm always telling them Collingwood suck (brain washing comes free of charge).

Yep, made it to the game. Took my old man to see TD, for the first time. He was totally blown away. He still remembers standing on the outer at the Western oval. So do I. Especially back in 87. He still can't work out how I turned into a Dees supporter. Tried taking the [censored] out of me saying all the Dees supporters were at the snow which explained the poor crowd. I then asked if all the Bulldogs people couldn't make bail. Did anyone see Juice Newton and DB pointing thier fingers at each other at 3/4 time. What was that about? Thought Juice had a bit of a go. Chased a fair bit. Good enough for another game at least.

I'm doing my best! The only down side is that they also take Jack to the pies games - I have to remind him that Dale Thomas is a tool on a daily basis and that all Collingwood players are bad bad bad people!

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

It's Game Day and the Demons are once again faced with a classic 8 point game against a traditional rival on King's Birthday at the MCG. A famous victory will see them reclaim a place in the Top 8 whereas a loss will be another blow for their finals credentials.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
