  1. Pffft! Thanks for keeping us waiting for that........ #anticlimax
  2. I think Freo might have a bit more to worry about than Colin Sylvia. Rumors that a team in WA is undergoing a big investigation for salary cap issues - can't possibly be WCE so has to be Freo.
  3. I've got a few Demon jumpers (kids sizes), scarves, etc; I've also got a few pair of footy boots that my boys have outgrown if they would be interested in those, they're welcome to them. I think the kids might prefer to play barefoot though but they're here if they want them.
  4. Herald Sun have a live trade tracker - all over now though.....anti climax in the end.
  5. Wow Fork - that article certainly brings a lump to the throat. I'm so disappointed not to be able to attend tomorrow night but one of my boys has a function at school that we have to attend. Priorities!!!! I nearly showed my true colours and went with the footy function but I thought I had better be a responsible Mum. I shouldn't speak for the people of Mt Theo, but they will always welcome donations. Have a look on their website - as proud as I am to have been part of the jumper purchase, there is a lot more going on up there and they will always welcome more $$$$.
  6. Read on Demonlogy that along with our red and blue, we should wear something green to this week's game in honour of Jimmy.
  7. I was responding to this remark. He was discussing what was wrong at this stage and it was not until later on that he said he won't go into specifics. I think he has been very brave and very honest in what he said today. It is not really any of our business to know the exact details. He is an extraordinary man.
  8. He is an amazing man and has such a positive outlook on life. If anyone can beat the big C, Jimmy can.
  9. No he is actually going through it all, explaining what is going on - in typical Jimmy fashion - always up front and honest. Saying now he is not stepping down, not walking away but needs to take the rest of the season off to concentrate on this and his family. Very emotional talking about his kids. This is so sad........askiing people to respect their privacy.
  10. Saying 3 weeks ago had lump in his back. Had it removed and confirmed that it was cancerous. Loads of tests and scans and they've found it has spread quite a bit.
  11. Listening live on SEN now - pleased to hear the majority of the team list is their to support him. Gosh, he is quite emotional as he starts.
  12. WOW! Words fail me! That is a fantastic effort - you should be so proud of yourself Luke.
  13. Just said on 9 that Jimmy Stynes is standing down as President due to illness. No more details.
  14. If we want lots of exposure - ANGELO - the mohawk man! He he....
  15. I know Judee was really helpful to me when I organised a Sportsman's Night for the Tsunami fundraiser. She is also always involved with membership drives and gives a lot of her time to our beloved club. I would like to point out that other than my dealings with her via the Tsunami f/r, I don't know her at all so there is no bias here. I don't know Judee (other than meeting her at the above fundraiser) so I don't know if she would be comfortable with this or not.
  16. Luke - it would be great for you to be there. I honestly believe you are the best person for the job. In fact, I'd be disappointed if you weren't involved. I've never actually gone to one of these Women of Melbourne functions, but being a chick I should. Given that the jumper will be presented at this function, I really think I will go. I will try and get a table together if it doesn't clash with anything else I've got on. I would like to suggest two possible handover persons of the female variety. Jaded or Judee - none of us can question their passion.
  17. Donation receipt number is DN123247 Donation Amount: $75.00 This is $50.00 for MickRocks and $25.00 for me.
  18. Yep - my mistake - sorry! I completely forgot about the cancer part of this - that makes me even more proud. We've helped two excellent causes.
  19. It should be Fork to do the handover. With all due respect to Jimmy - he isn't the person responsible for organising this. It is the great work of Fork that instigated this and then the support of Demonlanders and Demonology members in conjunction with the great people of Mt Theo - the club has had nothing to do with it (except make a profit) so I don't think Jimmy should be the one to do it. That's just my two cents worth. I want to be president or number one ticket holder of Fork's fanclub!
  20. I really hope that Fork gets his due recognition in all of this - I'd be disappointed if there wasn't a spot at the President's lunch for him. I hope the right person is reading this!
  21. Mick - have you been able to sort this out yet? I'm heading out but if you want to PM me if you've had no luck, I'll send you my bank details through this afternoon. I was about to pay for my donation now but I'll wait to see if I have to include yours.
  22. Fantastic work and it is great to know the jumper is going back to where it belongs. I can't contribute a lot but I am happy to chip in $20.00 - I guess every little bit helps. If you end up having more money than necessary, how about we use the extra $$$ to send up some footys or boots or maybe they can let us know what they need. You should be letting the club and the press know about this - you might get some corporate $$$ to help out with equipment for the youngsters up there.
  23. NOt working for me either but I'd love to see it. If anyone knows how to post it on youtube, can you? Cheers.
  24. And in The Age there is this story about him wanting the top job: http://news.theage.com.au/breaking-news-sp...90525-bkt4.html
  25. Mentioned how Sam tried to crack on to his mother many years ago but backed down (actually sh@t himself) when he realised she was Ricky McLean's SIL. Also very funny bagging Jared Rivers for the stretcher incident turning out to be an ankle sprain and wasn't afraid to give Garry Lyon some lip either. As for Pia Miller - as gorgeous as she is - she might be batting abover her average. Brad Miller is gorgeous and I'll never forget footage of him working on building the school on Phi Phi Island. Those no shirt photos are etched on my brain forever!
