  1. Sorry rollo. Will be away for footy trip, so i won't be in any state to play
  2. Because the club hasn't confirmed they will delist them. If all three of their exit interviews the club stated we will try and trade you. If it doesn't eventuate, we will reassess. What we have done in the past is delist players, only for other clubs to pick them up. Why not try and get something for them…..
  3. Blease Tapscott and Strauss were all told in their exit interviews that we will try to on trade them. If unsuccessful, they will reassess. Blease has been talking to Carlton for a while, and Strauss has also had some chats. So if we get anything for those 3, its a bonus
  4. You don't think he is up to AFL standard so we get rid of him? Going by that theory we also get rid of the 41 other blokes who did worse than him in the B&F. We desperately need a running half backer with maturity (for now until we develop a few), whats the point in drafting another reject or throwing a young player into the fire and see him get pulled apart like the rest of our 1st year players in the past. Why do you think the Hawthorn's and Geelongs and Collingwoods have young players that step in and fill the role? Because they have the 2-4 years in the VFL to get their game right, most are picks 20/30/40, but because they have time and mentored by the older players they have a better chance. We throw a 18 y.o. into the AFL and wonder why his confidence is shot, injured and no good….. Regardless who it was, my point it the young players who were thrown to the wolves are now struggling and being delisted because of lack of time and senior bodies. Our better players Jones Jamar Dunn Tyson Vince all matured and grew with bigger bodies and time….. coincidence? I think not Again, hence why Roo's is keeping some of the older players and letting the Salem's of the world go back and forward from the VFL we needed.
  5. What the uneducated majority don't seem to gather is that while we need to get quality young players in, we can't just throw out anyone over the age of 22. Eg what Bailey did, setting us back 6 years. You need harden senior bodies around the young to help the mature at the right speed, hence why all our young players struggle to develop. Also, many people are forgetting the fact Terlich came 3rd in the B&F last year
  6. Justto confirm. Start at 10.30, or be there then?? And any chance anyone knows how to strap an ankle?
  7. will do. I have found another whiteboard (same size) and some flags, so i will bring all that.
  8. I have a coaching whiteboard. But it's A4 size....
  9. Change of plans, no footy trip = donning the red and blue. Sorry rollo, but is there a spot in the guts?
  10. Scott will be interstate with work. Im still unsure with footy trip. I could technically fly back in sunday morning. Don't know what condition ill be in.
  11. Rollo you're giving me a bit of a reputation here. The truth is, my actual football season only finished last week, so the only reason i can get a kick is due to my fitness base being half decent. Having said that the last few days, including Mad Monday (No dwarf's were set alight) might put have put me back in my place
  12. Would love to run around again. Good news is i will be only 2 weeks out of a footy season (so fitness sound better than other ^), bad news, only a 50-50 at this stage rollo. I will either be celebrating a grand final win on footy trip, or playing in Red and Blue Cheers Rollo, DeeM (formally DeeMitch)
  13. I think there is a strong chance of Didak ending up at demonland next year. He is a harden senior player with experience, what we need. However does he fit into our lineup? For one i think he could be a very handy winger. And before everyone jumps down my throat about the 'rat-pack' etc etc, remember there isn't a 'rat pack' at Melbourne and i feel under Roo's he could add a bit to our side. Also, the benefit of Didak being delisted is we don't have to give up anything for him. down-side is that he has been accused of being a 'down hill skier' thoughts?
  14. i feel you should go along to a game, when you get a chance to put the keyboard down
  15. ahhhhhh NO Hogan will take some time, and we should rush him. This year in the VFL has been perfect for his development, he then come into the senior side and has little pressure on him with Dawes/Clarke/Watts/Fitz. If we rush him in there (like Watts when it was him and Robbo down there) its not going to help. I see Clarke as our Fwd/resting Ruck, I see Dawes as the true CHF Watts has a ranging HF Howe something similar, maybe deeper Hogan (when he plays) will rotate with Dawes realistically Fitzy won't be playing if all three are firing. But thats half the beauty. If we throw all our eggs in the Hogan basket and trade Dawes, we have Watts (been linked to trades, and hasn't shown he is everything YET), Clarke (Still injured, don't know if he'll be back?) Fitzy (has shown a little bit, but......) Our problem in past years is we are too predictable going forward, (same problem Collingwood have this year) the beauty of this potential forward line is the unpredictability. On their day each of Watts, Clarke, Dawes, Hogan, Howe can all easily kick 5
  16. I've said this many times and it finally happened in the Richmond game. Davey to play behind the ball like he did under DB in '08. He is our best user of the footy, and while he probably will get some very cheap kicks, they are VERY effective. If MN continues to do this it will mean opposition clubs will have to put some time into Davey, freeing up Jones, Grimes, Sylvia et al. I don's see a downside to this at all.......
  17. Heard a few whispers that it will be annoced shortly. Peter Jackson, x Essendon boss is the word
  18. How is this still going?? I stopped looking at this a year ago
  19. If we are going down that path, i think we need one D Neitz on it. Seeing as he holds the majority of records, and probably one of our all time greats. Also, i think N Jones should feature. Held our club together on-field this year
  20. Good on them. They got moved on for being to rowdy. If they were too drunk they would have been locked up. They weren't so its fine. Funny though. I was with a sydney player (in their leadership group) on the same day on the other side of the ground. He was a lot more mellow then our boys.....
  21. I'm god friends with Billings, and coached him for a small period. Absolute jet, would go into the elite category for kicking in the AFL right now. Does struggle to hold a tag - BIG TIME
  22. Hang on, hang on. Lets not jump the gun here. How do we know it was Moloney?? Other than some guy saying it was him....... How do we know it wasn't Neeld.......Anyone? I've very sceptical, considering since being moved on from Melbourne he has said nothing but good things about Melbourne and the people there. Face to face and via social media
  23. Strauss, yes, lucky he go another contract. But considering the fact that his leg put him back a year, and his work ethic. Also the fct the Neeld and co like him/rate him highly
  24. Are you kidding?!!?! Why would we get rid of Bartram? Clearly in our best 22 if he played every game he could this year, also the fact that he is in our leadership group. He is rated. And it is the uneducated football supporters that want him gone. Neeld is a 'role player' coach. You have a role, fulfil it and you play. Bartram is one of the only players that gives a crack. If our 22 played with the same intensity that he plays with i would be a VERY happy supporter.
