  2. How boring is this 4 quarter effort rubbish. My heart rate barely got out of a canter.

  3. Best win of the year. Most complete performance we have had in a long time and it was so good to watch. We beat the Dogs up at their own game and made them look second rate. We are physical, our pressure is unbelievable and we can beat ANYONE in the competition. If you can find a negative out of that then you are looking in the wrong place. Everyone played their role and everyone gave something positive. And great psyche out from Tommy Bugg. The boy knew what he was doing!

  4. Oscar McDonald the boy has now become a man. 23 touches, 12 marks and countless spoils, not to mention plenty of aggression at the contest. Fantastic stuff.

  5. Great work by the club hypnotist in convincing the team at the first bounce that we were 24 points down.

  6. Serious question was asked on the radio...."is Melbourne now the toughest team in the Afl?"....never thought id hear the day.

  7. From the age Oscar and Tom McDonald had among the most productive days for McDonald brothers anywhere since the creation of the quarter pounder with cheese. Not bad

  13. Funny comment on bigfooty. A St Kilda fan said of the 2nd quarter dust up: Why would these kids go Jack Viney. Do they have a death wish?

  14. I finish work at 10 pm tonight. Lucky for me the bottle shop closes at 11pm and is only a 30 min drive away. Get home, watch replay. If no replay on Foxtel, watch the Colonwood game again. Then watch the replay of Watts' goal last week another 200 times while getting drunk Go to bed some time tomorrow morning Wake with hangover. Eat box of Panadol Toast with Vegemite Maybe spew from hangover Watch todays game..... maybe twice Watch the Watts goal another 100 times while finishing bottle from last night Probably spew again If not in a coma, i might watch the replay again. Recover on Tuesday while watching the replay (Maybe twice) Life is good being a Dees supporter.

  15. Well we just flogged the reigning premiers on their home deck Three wins in a row Top 4 a real possibility Gawn and Hogan to come back in Go Deez

  16. A week ago Neale Daniher addressed the Melbourne team ahead of their game v Collingwood saying, "in a week's time you won't remember a thing I said". They went out and recorded a famous victory over Collingwood but now, a week later, let's remind ourselves and hope that they go out and do it again ...

  17. First 4th quarter effort this season. Hibbo is a star. 3rd win in a row. GO THE DEES. I THINK WE MAY HAVE ARRIVED.

  18. I'm still coming to terms with how good Hannan has become. His sidestep in traffic is so good, I can now see why Goodwin loves him so much.

  19. did you see the chase by Pedo that is a man who knows this is his moment to shine and be apart of something special.

  20. Melksham was very good today. Played well on that guy with the poodle hairdo.

  21. That was the performance we have threatened to have all year, our only 4 quarter performance thus far. Some great performances... Hibberd - what a pick up Salem - I honestly think he is the most underrated player at the club. Many think he is decent, but I rate him higher than that. OMac - was great last week after quarter time, and was great again today

  22. Every week feels bigger than the last and it will continue to do so while there is genuine top four positions on offer.

  24. Omen time: I went to a great game of VAFA footy at Brighton Beach Oval where top side Old Brighton Grammar beat Ajax in a close hard fought high quality contest yesterday. After the game, the Old Brighton players who wear red and blue sang their club song, "It's a Grand Old Flag" which I was tempted to join in even though I support the losing team. Then, just as I was leaving, I noticed our own Jayden Hunt throwing around a frisbee. After making sure Jeremy Howe's dog wasn't anywhere nearby, I wished him well for today's game. I wasn't confident before that but now ... the omens are too strong.

  27. Melksham played a selfless game, did very well shutting down JJ and got 15 touches himself and kicked a goal. Thats off the back of his strong tagging job on Pendlebury in the first half last week, and 32 possession the week before in the win over Gold Coast. The odds of a 19 year old kid @ pick 25 giving us more than Melksham is right now are very low, so Im gonna go ahead and say thanks Essendope for that trade, we needed a seasoned body more than another kid now that we are pushing for finals.

  31. I actually think the Bulldogs came to play early, and we just blew them away with aggression and good footy. We've smashed both the reigning premiers and the flag favourites on their home turfs this season without our 2 most important KPPs. That's pretty impressive.

  32. Kudos to coaches for going in unchanged and rewarding the guys who won last week

  33. I've got a bit more respect for them than that. Saw them put it together way too many times to think it was a fluke.

  34. Fifth spot is up for grabs with a win, what an amazing position that would be considering how close the competition is this sesson. I'm not an emotional person but seeing us in fifth at this point in the season, I think I'd cry. Demons by 73 points.

  36. Early thoughts. Salem, Hunt, Jetta and Hibberd all huge. Don't like to be beaten. Incredibly hard to beat. Just a driving force off half back. It's starting to click for Oscar. And he looks like the bloke from Narcos. Nothing I love more than this maniacal tackling. I said to Wiseblood yesterday that teams can't keep up that pressure for 4 quarters, well we pretty much did. So impressive. Incredible 2 weeks by Watts. In fact his whole season has won me over. His efforts against Geelong and Richmond in the ruck where he got battered. Little lull after that, then his cool head and skills these last 2 weeks, just brilliant. Love everything Pedo brings. Garlett is on [censored] fire. Tackling for fun Bugg back to his [censored] ways, he feeds off it. Special mention to that giant potato gem, Tom Boyd, for making TMac look like Dean Cox

  37. Cant believe what I saw from Oscar McDonald , he looked like Glen Jakovich out there. Another preseason and few more kilos, and look out.

  38. 57 point win. 11 goal kickers. 120 mins of pressure and intensity - All with no Ruck or no.1 FF. Can ask for much more. Fantastic win.

  39. How sad is it that going into the last 50 points up and was still a touch nervous. Classic MFCSS! that said, this team is made of sterner stuff than any I can remember since the Northey days. thrilled with how we are looking, this team could really have a crack in what is one of the most open years in history. BTW, loving how Salem is going, but not a bit surprised
