GAMEDAY: Rd 03 vs Carlton

Two blatant free kicks missed. Cripps just throws the ball at will.

It a lot easier when you just accept we are in complete rebuild. There is a lot more pain coming our way. I am just hoping for something from our young guns.

Latrelle just did 3 pressure acts in the space of 20 seconds. Future looking good there. Blokes like Langford and Lindsay gone backwards. Look like they stuck in concrete.

Will struggle to beat Essendon playing like this.

Long live the King

King out

This quarter has felt Neeld era bad. Our kids aren’t ready and are regressing. Langford looks super slow this year for some reason. Injured?

Patrick “chucker” Cripps at it again. He must be the only player to get away with multiple throws per game for over a decade.

Getting smashed in the midfield

against a bottom 6 team

Oh Ohhh ....
Losing Oh No GIF by Star Now

some inside bulls would be handy… just getting pushed off the ball.

Record crowd on offer today between the 2 clubs for Gawn and TMac and they show up insipid.

Players look flaaaaaaaat.

Blue looks a million bucks!!! 🤣

I think it’s going to be a looooooong year with flashes of fun here and there…

Carbon copy of our start agains Freo last week.

Midfield getting smashed leading to our defence being overwhelmed and forwards haven’t had much to do at all but on the odd occasion it’s been down there it’s been coming out easily

I know it’s early but let’s get going boys otherwise we r chasing our tail all game again.

This is embarrassing!

So weak around stoppages.

Kicking skills appalling.

Defence non existent.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
