Not sure why we are the favourites with the betting, as they beat us last time on our interstate home track and this is at their home track.

Don't think I've been this reluctant to watch a Demons game 30 mins from kick off for years

go dees?

Kudos to those attending today and summoning the energy to give a toss about these remaining games.

Your good old Uncle Bitter overindulged somewhat last night.

Consequently my ever sensitive nethers are telling me that a win is in the air !!!

Dees by 17 points.

NFI if we will go or for get belted today….turned up anyway very small crowd

Welcome back P.

A win is better than a loss but geez does it really matter. A win takes the pressure off Goodwin to some degree but continues to wallpaper over the cracks.

Really hard to get into the game or excited tbh.

Can only think Petty is in to prevent Wilkie going to JVR, rare opportunity this year to watch without delay

Show some dare ad hold NWM to account

Go dees

Thanks mate

Nice to see a new mix in the midfield, but the immediate turnover by Viney kills you

Viney is just a plodder who kills you you with turnovers

Langford a big bright spot in a disappointing year for us

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
