You know your having a night out when the spuds that are the WA commentary team say your "BOG by a long way".

Viva la Max!

3 wins in a row, kicked over 100, won comfortably in the end. Not great but not the coach killer it looked at half time.

Still need to get better if we’re going to compete with anyone in the top 8 but st least we’re out of the bottom 4 (for now at least).

Well done coaches and players for 3 in a row

Bank the points but eagles are a very poor team. Wasn’t pretty but got the job done

Big test next week. I’m looking forward to it

Go dees

Turner and Petty as the 1 and 2 in the forward line is my preference. Give a trial for the next month. JVR had his chance and I reckon needs to have a solid month in the 2’s.

Fritta is on thin ice too. Should have had 4-5 goals tonight.

Milkshake, probably gets rubbed out because it’s MFC.

Surely not he used his body to out position his opponent - that’s legal

Three in a row, but also a win against the worst team in the comp. McGovern going off injured. Still relying too much on Max.

Proper test against the Hawks next week

100% he shouldn’t but you just know that he’ll get suspended.

Great win by the Dees. How about we focus on what brings us together and not what drives us apart… I.E Lets keep the politics out of the thread.

And we’ve won a last quarter… just!!

Gawn, HUGE!! 30 votes. Chandler continues his great form, and Turner looked solid.

We take the W, and that’s great, but we’ll need a more consistent lift for the hawks next week!

Good second half got our attacking game going, I was in despair about our rubbish forward entries in the first half but looked a lot better in the second.

We’re 1 win off joint 8th

and 2 wins off joint 3rd

Carn you Demons

If melksham goes we should riot.

If bo Allen who smacked viney in the head with eyes off the ball gets off...m we riot.

Nankervis still the best ruckman of the past decade, according to Toigs supporters.melbourne football club popcorn GIF by Melbournefc

The people have spoken. Up the dees!

I'll take that. Aside from a ten minute spell when WC were running hot we controlled the game. Melky is a clever footballer and I'm glad we had him there when Petts went off. Worked well with Disco. Surely Max has nine Brownlow votes from the last three games.

Tholstrup had an almost game, 0.3 could have been 3 snags with some more experience under the belt

I'd keep playing him

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

  • PREGAME: West Coast

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.

It's Game Day and there are only 5 games to go. Can the Demons find some consistency and form as they stagger towards the finish line of another uninspiring season?
