See semitendinosis pic. ‘High’ means closer to the bum, i.e. the ‘origin’, or attachment from the sit bone of the pelvis (Ischial tuberosity). The more tendon involvement (roughly seen as the white tissue), the slower healing, therefore longer rehab and return to play. All full recovery from ANY hamstring tear starts at 3 weeks.

Isn't the hamstring connected to the bone at both ends?

are you doubting artificial intelligence's ability to medically diagnose?

next you'll be saying that dr dermott's ability to diagnose an injury to a player in perth while commentating from a bunker in dorcas st, south melbourne, is in question

Yes but because of the work required the higher the tear ( Semitendinosis)and the density of the muscle, the worse that it is, higher is the worst kind, and if severe enough will require surgery

It’s always perplexed me how Steven May was able to play in the GF. Hammy has always seemed the one injury you can’t “play through”.

Omfg am I being pranked? Cannot believe how big a deal this has become. AT FIRST THEY WERE FLANKING HIM HOLDING HIS ELBOWS. AS THEY NEARED THE BOUNDARY THEY PUT HIS ARMS AROUND THEIR SHOULDERS.

Not gonna repeat this again. Three times is two times too many. In fact not gonna post for a while. [censored] if I’m gonna let anyone insult me when I’m trying my best to relay things as they’re happening while there’s so much else going on. So go ahead and doubt anything or even everything I say.

GW out.

Hey GW. Please dont let us remote watchers down. Keep up your reports as while we all have different perceptions and visions of your words its way, way, better than having to wait for the biased [censored] of the mass media, who only seem to report disaster for the dees.

Its an interesting collective we are privileged  to enjoy and all track watchers give their perception from different viewpoints and different times. I cannot thank you all enough. you provide great joy and enjoyment. I can even enjoy some of the almost sniping retorts as I see there is also some grudging admiration amongst you for those different approaches. Please enjoy each others company as remember to respect each other as we all do.

GW, I and I am sure others really appreciate your often cute insights and you give me  a great feeling of intimacy with the players that I would not be game to attempt. I am really happy that you can do that for me, and should I meet you I would be delighted to shout and enjoy  a beverage of your choice with you to discuss your obvious passion and ability.

Not sure if this has been brought up on here before but what is the reason for TMac wearing the white lycra (?) top?

From the image above it seems to be a "crop top" for want of a better word and only covers the arms and chest.

Sun protection or something else?

I have some of these. theyre from a company called SPArms. theyre for sun protection. they genuinely do actually feel cool to have on - i run in mine on hot days. i love them. my wife does not. im surprised they havent made a full body stinger style suit one for clarry tbh

Interesting. We still walk in discreet sleeves and find them excellent. This may be a good solution for longer outings.

A lot of golfers wear these. Sun protection is ultra important!

Please, dear God, let the football begin. Chipping one another about this sort of thing is just ridiculous.

Everyone should be wearing sunscreen every day.

That's just what big sunscreen wants you to think.

Also, that's now the third post in this thread that made me think of Robocop. I think I'd better check out for a few days.

Or you could take advice from Instagram that sunscreen gives you cancer so don’t use it. Simply jump in the Speedo’s and off to the beachSun Burn GIF by Jon Frickey

  • POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

The Demons did not come to play from the opening bounce and let the Gold Coast kick the first 5 goals of the match. They then outscored the Suns for the next 3 quarters but it was too little too late and their season is now effectively over.

  • GAMEDAY: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons are back on the road again and this may be the last roll of the dice to get their 2025 season back on track as they take on the Gold Coast Suns at People First Stadium.

  • PREVIEW: Gold Coast

The Gold Coast Suns find themselves outside of the top eight for the first time since Round 1 with pressure is mounting on the entire organisation. Their coach Damien Hardwick expressed his frustration at his team’s condition last week by making a middle-finger gesture on television that earned him a fine for his troubles. He showed his desperation by claiming that Fox should pick up the tab.  There’s little doubt the Suns have shown improvement in 2025, and their position on the ladder is influenced to some extent by having played fewer games than their rivals for a playoff role at the end of the season, courtesy of the disruption caused by Cyclone Alfred in March.  However, they are following the same trajectory that hindered the club in past years whenever they appeared to be nearing their potential. As a consequence, that Hardwick gesture should be considered as more than a mere behavioral lapse. It’s a distress signal that does not bode well for the Queenslanders. While the Suns are eager to remain in contention with the top eight, Melbourne faces its own crisis, which is similarly deep-seated but in a much different way. After recovering from a disappointing start to the season and nearing a return to respectability among its peer clubs, the Demons have experienced a decline in status, driven by the fact that while their form has been reasonable (see their performance against the ladder leader in the Kings Birthday match), their conversion in front of goal is poor enough to rank last in the competition. Furthermore, their opponents find them exceptionally easy to score against. As a result, they have effectively eliminated themselves from the finals race and are again positioned to finish in the bottom half of the ladder.
