Anyway, let’s move on FFS.

Helped off or walked off, who cares? GW is clearly a great poster so why question a technicality? and if you do, do it once, not 5 times. Unless you get off your [censored] and provide a report yourself then STFU

If you need help leaving this forum i reckon there’ll be many volunteering to help you

Ghostwriter nee WCW provides a wonderful view of our club how she sees it.

I frankly couldn't care less if there is an embellishment or an occasional error, the bulk of what she writes is fantastic. I am not suggesting she was wrong far from it.

I have followed the media for many years and find MOST reporting contains errors.

Please if you don't like Ghostwriter just block her, or if you have a different opinion say "I see it differently ....."

I prefer her training reports to none.

Righto enough is enough.

The information she provided was wrong. She said McVee didn’t need any assistance from trainers being taken off the field, all I did was point out this was actually not the case. Would it be preferable if we just exist in some kind of fairyland where nobody disagrees with anyone and nobody is allowed to point out that somebody might actually be mistaken? If binman had made this mistake I’d have pointed it out, if dazzle had made this mistake I’d have pointed it out, if picket had made this mistake I’d have pointed it out. In no way was it a personal attack on GW. I didn’t insult her, I actually said I appreciate and enjoy her training reports.

Not once did I insult anyone, so I’ve got absolutely no idea how that has led to you saying “if you need help leaving this forum I reckon there’ll be many volunteering to help you”.

And I do try to provide training reports whenever I can attend on Wednesdays. Not to the detailed level that GW does, which, I’ll say once again, I appreciate!

I must say I write a lot of posts on this forum that once I have written them I re-read before posting and then delete. It works reasonably well for me. ( hopefully this is not one of them...)

I was there, saw Judd go down, spasm, crawl, got up, hopped, then walked with pain and discomfort for about 20 meters till the trainers met him. Given his will power, I'd guess he would have made it to the boundary by himself.

Ghost could have seen the first part and made the opinion that at least he was able to move by his own and concluded it may not be too bad, being a more glass full kinda person.

Her observations weren't wrong, just not a complete commentary. They also underpinned the opinion about the extent of the injury, which is more of a concern to me. Our thinking, it was not too bad, given he made his way towards the boundary by himself, before being assisted. We were hoping it was only cramp.

Matter of fact @Dee Boys does get down to training regularly on a Wednesdays. What are you providing again sorry?

And remind me why are we encouraging people to leave this forum because you simply disagree with his comment? Sensitive much...

I appreciate anyone who makes the time and effort in getting down to training and providing a report, I wish i could on a regular basis as a return of favour, but location wise i can't.

What happens in between those training reports is up to those individuals.

Time to move on. Everyone is an adult here, they'll get over it.

Some don't even have the balls to nit pick, they just sit back and wait for one of the other goon squad to do it, then throw in their little passive aggressive reactions to the post.

It's always the same people and it's always being done to the same person and frankly it is becoming tiresome.

Do you have the balls to name them?

precisely my point. Thank you

we are adults here. No need to pick and pick at training reports. just enjoy them.

GW provides great reports as do many. Can we not bag her if she misses something?

Claiming ‘misinformation’ and that was ‘made up’ is pathetic.

far out

Apologies, I may have come in too hard.

my point is, try not to label reports as misinformation as someone may have seen a few seconds and reported what they saw

I appreciate you getting down to training

You are aware that people seeing the same incident, often give different descriptions of it. That is a fact, as proved in Courts and Tests thousands of times.

Some people see parts of an incident that others miss, or simply mistake what they saw.

Maybe we can leave GW alone and just appreciate her contributions, without constant attacks for innocent variations of what might or might not have occurred at training.

Surely the important fact is how long Judd will miss, not how he left the training track.

One leads onto the other.

Yeah I meant for most of the walk. As they neared the boundary the Doc and the physio got under his arms. Point is, he was walking.

Thought I might join the chat. McAdam is highly skilled, with evasive tricks and a good footy IQ. Marks as if he were taller, like Fritta. He's done the work and I look forward to his first game, where he kicks 3 and dishes off a couple.

Have prescribed vitamins to avoid further injury / illness and a small dose off apotropaic magic to ward of negative DL comments. He'll be fine.

Yes & he's 29, injury prone, has never played more than 15 games in a season & managed just 7 & 3 senior games in his last 2 seasons.

Definitely not the messiah.

I think we moved past the messiah complex of years gone by.... let's leave that to Freo.

PS: If anyone "likes" this post you can be sure they're over 60 years old.

Yep, probably ... actually, for me, a decade more in the generalised sense.

Why people want to pick up on the minutiae of details to get one up on track watchers is beyond me. I’m in QLD and really appreciate any information about the MFC and training I can get so thanks for the reports.
For the nupties who seek relevance through nit picking and criticising reports - stop spoiling the fun and grow up.

Caaaaryst does it really matter whether Juddy, walked, crawled, was carried, escorted, transporter roomed,Tardis travelled, spiritually planed, transcendentally manifested or anything else to the boundary line?? Fact is he was injured, nothing else matters!

ai says:

A high hamstring tear, also called a "proximal hamstring tear," is generally considered worse than a tear closer to the knee (distal hamstring tear) because the high hamstring is closer to the bone attachment point and can involve more severe tendon damage, potentially leading to longer recovery times and sometimes requiring surgical intervention in severe cases.

Isn't the hamstring connected to the bone at both ends?

  • PREVIEW: West Coast

It was bad enough that the Melbourne Football Club created yet another humiliating scenario inside its wretched season at Marvel Stadium last Sunday, but the final insult is that it has been commanded to return to the scene of the crime to inflict further punishment on its fans this week. Incidentally, if this match preview, of a game that promises to be one of the most unattractive fixtures in the history of the game, happens to cut out of your computer screen three quarters of the way through, it’s no coincidence. I’ll be mirroring the Demons’ lacklustre effort against St Kilda from last Sunday when they conceded the largest last quarter turnaround for victory in the history of the game.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.
