When will it be formally announced?

Sometime before I die of old age hopefully.

Longest re-signing in the history of the world.

Update: Despite west coast offering a nice deal and Adelaide having a look, McVee is going to resign on a two year deal. Spoke with King and Lamb. Assured of how it looks for him in 26. This is a key signing for King early days in his tenure.

I know a certain poster with a good track record that will breathe a bit easier tonight lol

I've waited a long time.

Thank you❤️💙

What for?

McVee had told Ghosty he had signed as far as back late July early August they were just waiting for an announcement which clearly which clearly that wasn't even the case at all from McVee's camp.

Not a Ghosty issue, just a great example of what players may tell supporters is the complete opposite to what he would be saying to his close friends and family.. Played a straight bat did McVee.

Clearly behind the scenes it was the completely opposite story and @Dannyz who is one with incredible inside intel pretty much confirms he is now about to sign his contract after meeting with King and Lamb which proves he hadn't sign anything this whole time.

Great for the club and well done to Steven King in being able to pursue McVee to sign the dotted line.

Until we see a formal announcement which makes it clear that this has only just now been decided, I'd hold judgement on when it happened and neither congratulate or commiserate with GW. This is all we have:

Many people may be believing it because it is seen as good news or is so confidently written. Can anyone enlighten me as to Dannyz's past reputation for getting these things right?

What’s appears equally true is he was never close to actually leaving. He was simply waiting to see the lie of the land which is totally fair enough. Well done to King for getting him on board and I’m looking forward to an injury free preseason and some run and dare from him in 26. He’s got the makings of a really good player. Now back to the Robbie Flower highlights!

Wow, 53 pages and not done yet, on whether a player, not a star, signs a new contract with us.

The Club and Judd have agreed to announce resigning when it gets to 60 pages

Lol, half the planet thought May was a chance to be moved on or want to move on. It's been media babble for over a month.

What I'm really curious about is whether waiting on May's exit was a factor in McVee delaying...

That's a brutal theory on just how sharp some club divisions might be.

I thought the same thing myself today. I don't think it's a brutal theory. I think it's plausible.

Then a few hours later a poster who has proven to have a good track record tells us that Judd is about to re sign.

Too many assumptions for occams razor, so leaning more towards confirmation bias at this stage.

Hopefully we can enjoy the official news of the re-signing if our new robot overlords allow us the opportunity in the year 2073

not going to congratulate GW, she said he signed months ago, he clearly hasnt, but hey at least we all got the result we are after!

The minutiae around the circumstances of him signing isn’t really important.

I just hope Judd can return to the form we all know he’s capable of.

My mail is they just need to run it by Tom Morris first.

I heard a rumour from someone around the club, Steven May is upset there was a leak today about his employment and possible trade away from the MFC.

I can’t reveal my sauce 😉🥫

I may be wrong Daz, but despite whether McVee has signed or is about to, I thought the famous wager between picket and GW was whether or not McVee was staying or going. If so, it sounds like picket needs to do some shopping tomorrow.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
