Great to see Tracca doing some heavy lifting at the Red Bull centre, we need him back to his very best in 2025. ❤️💙👍💕

Not sure about the ethics of having cyborg implants added in a secret lab in the Austrian Alps, but if we're doing it...

Few of the young boys are over in America doing their training as well.

I know that we are not to know but i wouldn't mind his weight being worked on, if it mean's he has a quicker take off speed, to match those amazing reflexes.

Maybe I'm asking for something that might not work.

This is the type of elite high-performance facility with the very latest equipment we need to have at our Home Base at Caulfield Racecourse (hopefully).

The best of the best for all our Melbourne Demons players.

The Brand will likely shake his hand…..sorry couldn’t help myself.

He can train at NASA for all I care.  Following such a serious injury, his onfield performance will be dictated by what is between his ears not how much weight he can lift or how many kilometres he gets into his legs.

Obviously, the mind and application is important.

What do you think helps the mind?

Also, at his level, getting the body to more is literally what pre-season training is all about.

I think the mind could be helped in this case, by a mental health professional who specialises in trauma focused cognitive behavioural type therapy.  Perhaps this has already happened/is happening and I certainly hope it has.

Clearly getting the body right is a priority for all AFL players and prime physical health and exercise allows the release of more endorphins which improve mood and outlook complimenting any psychological therapy.

Did you mean

IN COMING TO PLAY WITH YOU.

But we don't and everyone knows it.

How much would it cost to train at NASA. I hear the sky is the limit.

I can't help but feel there is some contrast between our two million+ per year mids in how they prepare/improve their bodies/games before a season, at least in terms of level of commitment and attention to detail. I wonder if this is part of the contention between the club and Oliver (and Trac's feelings toward this as well).

I understand in the past Oliver has made commitments with a really dedicated approach to preseason. E.g. when he followed Billy Stretch's regimen all those years ago with diet and training. In his words he 'became addicted' to fitness and training where he could see the results in games with the high standard he was playing at. I wonder if that level of commitment dropped away in recent years and this is where the club are feeling underwhelmed with their star player.

I would love to see Oliver over there investing his time (and some of that huge salary) along with Trac putting in this level of work and commitment to his body. Especially after the year he had last year, I would hope he is doing everything he possibly can to find ways to get himself in the best shape possible with some advancements on what he can do physically like we are seeing with Trac.

Its hard to get a read from the podcast he did the other week with how casual he was talking about getting back to a better level of fitness. I don't discount the work he's putting in with his running. He's also working on his mobility with a specialist as you can see here along with Trac, Salem and AMW (https://www.instagram.com/112mvmnt/). But I just wonder if there's more he can be doing to get to to improve and get back to that obsession he had with his fitness...

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
