Yes yes yes. We’ve all said things

Its about what the bloke does from here

You either sit back and wait for the draft night to see who our recruitment team pick or join in the fun and form opinions based on 2 min highlight videos.

The result was always going to be the same so why not get involved?

All a bit of fun.

Xavier Lindsay Captain of Gippsland Power won the B&F for Coates League couple that with Harvey Langford VC and Lark Medalist, we are indeed getting a couple of young elite players with leadership potential.

He encourages forwards to lead ... with confidence. I hope Fritta, JVR and Chandler are taking his highlight reels seriously - Lindsay is just what we need.

Welcome Xavier. Smooth mover with polish. Love that we have taken two lefties.

Much needed skills, we've got too many bulls in the midfield but for all their greatness they skills can fail them from time to time.

Thanks @adonski you were always a believer

A classy midfield option to ponder....not currently rated in the top 5-10 in many phantom draft orders, but neither was Windsor this time last year

The versatile left-footer has high appeal through simply being very good at a lot of things. He can play as a midfielder or half-back, he can change the game with his angled and precise kicking, he has speed and agility and since overcoming some injury at the start of the year he plays well most weeks. After being an All-Australian at under-18 level following a great finish to the championships with Vic Country, when he picked up 30 disposals, Lindsay has averaged 28 disposals with Gippsland and also hit the scoreboard, kicking 2.4 in those three games.

Good call 👏👏

Thank god we picked a beautiful kick with many other great attributes

Left footers just gave that sweet style

Fantastic combo with Langford. Very glad we didn’t get another big unit. we need variation

This bloke could play HB wing mid HF

Also stood up to be BOG in the biggest game of the year that had the vast majority of this years top ranked players playing in it.

It was notable and easily seen that he was more than competitive against the vast majority of top-ranked players in the draft this year; furthermore, he stood out with his ability to make fast, excellent decisions and to execute creatively, with good heads-up vision, wherein his kicking and movement were first class.

We do, but we also don’t know how to kick on our right foot either.

I'm just relieved that we picked up 2 mids. Based on his physique, I wasn't expecting Windsor to play from the get go. Hopefully LIndsay can do the same.

I think the wing position helped Caleb slot in from the get go. Lindsay probably has a similar chance given he'll likely start at half back. Having Salem, Lever and May to learn under, will be great for Lindsay's development.

I've never really trusted anyone, Male or Female with Two First names but with XL I'll make an exception. Happy to have a nice kick at the club, we need them.

Glad the Demons picked Xavier Lindsay who is an excellent kick and will provide "X-factor" to our team.

We have been desperate to rectify the issue of forward-line connection for a few seasons now and hopefully Xavier's poise and skill with kicking will help the Demons.

An educated choice with taking the best talent available as well as the covering of a vital need for us.

In Jason Taylor we trust!

That'd be quite a versatile player!

I'm sorry Lindsay I didn't mean to say you were worse than those spuds. I honestly believe he will be the best player in the draft just because we got him with Essendon's pick.

Yeah there's plenty of them, can't say I can trust them tho. Hoping XL is a more reliable kick than both those lads.

It's the same with Guys with Girls names and Girls with Guys names. Apologies to those of you who do but...

If the Dees can trade in “pick 9” off the bombers, then I’d be keen on drafting Xavier Lindsay with this pick.  If we got either Lalor or Langford at pick “5” (inside mid bulls), Lindsay would be the perfect addition as a highly skilled left footer who can play half back or midfield. He captained the Gippsland Power team.  As previously written, he plays like Josh Kelly (GWS) offering the ability to win the ball in close as well as run and spread. Undoubtedly injury ended his year early and he didn’t test at the combine. He’s got class and skills to add a lot to our future.

Happy to see these cards

Langford at 5

Lindsay at 9

as I predicted and hoped for 5 weeks ago !!!

Lindsay Gilbee vibes, who was a fantastic kick off half back for the doggies for 200 games.

Highlights and descriptions of him sound similar to Hayden Young at the same age. Would be awesome if he became anywhere nearly as good as him!

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
