MFC -,always squander leads

Billings - offers very little

Clarrie - years best game

Laurie - tries but limited

ANB - far too slow

Langdon - prolific but wasteful

‘Bowza - needs an optometrist

McVee - beaten by Green

Lever - great down back

Kozzie - not doing enough

AMW - becoming a regular

TMac - the end is nigh

Don't we jump on the bandwagon when a bloke has a baddish game after so many good ones .

Seems the knife is out again for Tmac ,who was on the strongest marking forward in the AFL. Add that to the way GWS delivered the ball into the fwd line, we were lucky to get that close. They were pretty good.

A seriously good game of footy (just wish the scoreline was different)

At least Lever turned up tonight after missing for a couple of weeks.

Clarry' s back (well 85 %)

McVee does it again

Rivers improving all the time

Langers is a machine

The Duke has ticker.

Petty is showing more confidence

GWS/ South Melb GF

May - below his best.

Lever - rock solid showing.

Bowey - lacked physical presence.

McDonald - slowing up rapidly.

McVee - usual calm display.

Langdon - ran heart out.

Windsor - offered little threat.

Moniz-Wakefield - showing good signs.

Oliver - energy was encouraging.

Rivers - held his own.

Neal-Bullen - tireless but ineffective.

Billings - back to VFL.

Pickett - glimpses of class.

Van Rooyen - never got going.

Gawn - showed some spirit.

Viney - good contest work.

Woewodin - needs to improve.

Petty - unsure of role.

Fritsch - couldn't find space.

Melksham - quiet all night.

Chandler - classy late goal.

Bailey Laurie - jury still out.

Billings - tough not creative (unexpected)

Laurie - could make it

Windsor - could be anything

Petty - marks and tackles

Gawn - fumbly for month

Kozzie - tackled to influence

Rivers  - learn to bounce

Kolt - signed while concussed

Jeffo - gimme a tiket...

AMW - hard as nails

Bowey - victim of structure

Wouldn't AFL House salivate over the idea of GWS and Sydney in the GF? The club they own and the club that is their cornerstone in the NSW market. Those bastards!

The umpires certainly saw it that way last night, never missed an opportunity to reward them then blatantly refused to pay identical free’s for us. Grrrrrr.!!!

Thought that was his best full game. Didn't smash it but certainly better than quite a few others.

How does Toby go from standing with the ball, to on his knees, where a waist high correctly applied tackle, is now on his shoulder?

Pathetic and costs us a goal, which is more than the losing margin.

The umpires boss said they wouldn’t pay ducking.

Their movement on the mark, which cost us another goal was ignored all night.

Dillon and Kane need to stop lying about the standard of umpiring and put some money into helping train umpires, instead of grabbing millions in salary like pigs at a trough.

Standard at its lowest ever this year

Destroying enjoyment for many.

May - body is shot

May might be one that finishes his season early to go under the knife. Send Petty back, bring in Jeffo and see how he goes. Purely speculation at this stage though.

There is no way May would want to pull the pin early.Dont forget the GF when he played a blinder with a ripped hammy. He would still to scrape into the 8

    TRAINING: Wednesday 12th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock. HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
