max needs a chop out and roo needs to stay forward.ย

Tempting to bring in Kolt but not sure for whom

Did anyone watch the Casey game ? Seriously only Sestan and Moniz-Wakefield would be capable. ย Both deserve a game.ย
ย

outs. ย Brown again, Petty, Billings, Lever (concussion) Chandler (knee)ย

in. ย JVR. ย Langdon. ย Sestan. AMW. ย Tomlinson.ย

Billings has been very poor. Howes was very weak tonight.ย

Agreed. Already playing a lot of kids; letโ€™s not throw them all in.ย

Outs look good. McAdam could go tooย

Half the Casey regulars didnโ€™t play cos they were carry over emergencies for the AFL game

Those that did play at Casey are, presumably, further back in the packย

OUT: Lever, Billings, Sparrow, B Brown
IN: JVR, Langdon, Fullarton,ย Tholstrup

Petty to return to defence where heโ€™s clearly more comfortable

I somehow doubt that the above will happen tho

I think we need to hedge our bets a little. Itโ€™s possible 2021 is all weโ€™re gonna get, or itโ€™s possible we might still be in the flag race. Itโ€™s hard to say at 6-4 in May.

So I would be in favor of cutting clear deadwood like Billings who wonโ€™t get a kick in September anyway, for someone like Laurie or Sestan.ย
Woey Jr was one I thought might not be up to it but heโ€™s starting to flourish with opportunity.ย
Ben Brown is another who needs to go, but the cupboard is a little bare. Absolutely not to Jeffo coming in lol, I have faith in him but itโ€™s too soon.

Tomlinson one and done for Lever.ย

Otherwise I think Goody has to roll with the same guys and hope we can peak later in the year or pinch one in an open year.ย

Out: Lever, BBB, Billings. (Howes sub)

In: JVR, Fullarton, Langdon

FB: McVee May McDonald
HB: Rivers Petty Woey
C: Langdon Oliver Windsorย
HF: Chandler ย Fullarton Vineyย
FF: McAdam JVR Pickettย
Foll: Gawn ANB ย Salem
Int: Bowey , Sparrow, Fritsch, Petracca
S: Howes

Probably have to give Petty the chance down back, he at least had a go in the ruck.

Which means Fullarton I guess??

Seen enough of BBB, heโ€™s on a hiding to nothing but gave nothing. Seen more than enough of Billings.

Time to reward Woeyโ€™s consistent effort with a full game, could be half back for Howes, could be wing with Langdon forward more.

Wouldn't be surprised if we also see Tholstrup back in the side either. Maybe even a Sestan debut.

Laurie? ๐Ÿคฃ he's genuinely a worse version of Billings.

Probably only two things for sure.

Lever misses due to concussion.

At least one of Brown and Petty is dropped/moved out of the forward line (they combined for 1.2 from 8 disposals and 3 marks. That's not good enough for one of them on their own, let alone both of them).

Presumably JVR replaces the dropped/moved key forward. Tomlinson or Petty for Lever you'd think.

We donโ€™t know that for sure. Heโ€™s barely had an extended opportunity. At worst heโ€™s rubbish, like Billings is anyway, and at best he might find himself like Taj has done.ย

Outs: BBB, Lever, Billings

Woewodin to play a full game.ย

the midfield really need a complete rocket up the proverbial ! Are we plying as Narrm again? We never win as Narrm.ย

Somehow or other Fullerton needs to be also blooded... dunno how but when I can't even give a 6.5.4.3 vote for that pathetic effort I am in a quandry.

The Demon stalwart surpassed the number of his father's appearances for the club towards the end of the season. As he approaches his thirties, his pace is inevitably slowing, and he is likely to explore alternative opportunities beyond the team's midfield.

The Demon premiership defender who has the reputation the master of intercept possessions as well as great leadership qualities managed only eight senior games this season as he battled injury and form, prompting speculation that he might be enticed to look elsewhere.

โ€œDiscoโ€ took his time (four seasons) but the mid-season draftee has been a shining light of Melbourne's campaign, improving to become a versatile option at either end of the ground. He has great marking skills which allows him to play as a marking target up forward or an intercepting defender down back.ย

The skipper delivered another outstanding season, leading the team from the front, participating in every game, and earning club champion honours, while also securing an equal record eighth All-Australian blazer as a ruckman.ย  Max Gawn is arguably the greatest exponent of ruck skills in the history of the game; an exceptional leader who has guided the club to a premiership, through the challenging times that followed, and now into the next phase of its storied history.

It was a frustrating season for the former number 13 draft selection, who failed to build momentum in his second campaign; Tholstrup played only nine games, having been omitted twice and substituted out three times. However, he demonstrated promising signs in the midfield at Casey towards the end of the season, and big things are anticipated from him in the coming years.

All at Melbourne are eagerly anticipating his resurgence to his previous peak performance levels.
