Immense win.

Oliver's last quarter was incredible.

BBB incredibly effective.

ANB best third quarter I've seen from him.

Viney a warrior.

Soldo was competitive but Max stood up.

Conor Rozee is a [censored] disgrace and ANB is a [censored] boss. One of my favourite H&A wins in the Goody era. Superb.

Port were in top in nearly every category. They threw everything at us.

Really mature gutsy win

And boy did they sing the song loud. That we done with feeling

Great job ANB

Windsor was very impressive in the last, cool head on young shoulders.

Fav moment was Fritta telling their fans to Faark Off after his brilliant goal at the death.

What a ripper of a game. Just like Jack - tough and gritty. Well deserved!

how on earth does Dermie still get a gig. surely there is someone better for the job. spouts such guff

How about all the smashed crabs wearing Port gear in the crowd? Couldn't leave quick enough after Fritta's goal

Eventually we'll have to figure out how on earth we won it but right now who gives a toss.

Defence held up incredibly well, and we took our opportunities in front of goal. We were beaten in the contest, but we could have been smashed in the contest - to remain pretty even despite it not being our night in there was critical.

The best win i can recall since the Flag

Trac and Clarry hampered

and the next level step up!

[censored] amazing!!!

I agree. 110% agree.

Very important win for our club ❤️

Played against a very good team who had us beat a number of times. We got smashed in the i50s and shouldn’t even have been in it at times, yet we hung on every single time. That’s the spirit we will need to show this year.

We essentially won this with clutch goals (took our chances!!) from Viney Max Benny, ANB (who was immense). Clarry was huge in the last quarter after a quiet night.

We’ve got the crows covered. Happy we did that for Vines

Go Dees 🔥

We never give up.

I love this club - so proud ❤️💙

Considering our skills for 2.5 quarters, I have no idea how we stayed in the game. Yes I do. Grunt and effort over and over again.

But that was an amazing last quarter. Woewodin, Clarry, Viney and Windsor - take a bow.

ANB - probably winning our B&F at this stage. That was a classy, give-it-all performance.

BBB, Fritsch and even JVR in the last quarter - really well done.

Those saying it's our best win for a while would probably be right. Adelaide is a damn hard place to go and win but we've gone over to their house and kicked the door in. Next week I want to smash the rear windows as well.

I’m up and about. What a win.

Great gutsy win. Amazing what some good set shot kicking can do for a result.

And steal their beaten up old Camry!

[censored] amazing!

So bloody happy for Benny Brown ❤️

Ben Brown. What a bloke 💪

Trying to work out the best goals.

There were so many rippers.

And we were accurate.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
