I say the original rules should stand and only points from round 1 count towards the season.

Keen to hear the thoughts of those posters who practically wrote our season off and blasted the coach and players after our loss last week.

Some remarkably definitive comments were made, given we were beaten on the home deck of a pretty good team that the bookies had as slight fav.

You know who you are.

Gonna agree with Kane Cornes about Aaron Naughton, used to be seen as the next big thing, he's a massive NAUGHT. They gave him an 8 year contract.

Sam Darcy kicked 5 in the VFL team, and I don't think Lobb was horrible, but if they don't move Naughton to CHB, he's not going to look like a great investment. Dogs would be better trying to make him like Darcy Moore.

Petty response.

Enjoy the win rather than jumping to pot shot

I was wrong about TMac,... thought he was slow, just think it's slow to turn, so having him down back isn't too bad, and was good by foot.

me too. humble pie for dinner

It was fair comment, l thought.

It truly amazes me how the Media World have talked up The Bulldogs list as being elite for years. I am not taking anything away from today’s performance, but the Dogs are very ordinary.
Particularly Radio 📻 scribes, their whole analysis is just totally wrong

Nice 👍 to kick relatively accurately today for a change.
Makes a huge difference

Go Demons

I’m with you. Based on what we saw today, Billing’s clearly ahead of Laurie.
Spargs has credits, but is quickly running out of them.

Let’s just celebrate a win, rather than look at Spargo’s and Laurie’s performance last week. Sydney are a better team and  the conditions were much different.

Yeah…I don’t know what that means!

Got to be analytical in defeat and victory. Acknowledge what has worked and what hasn’t.

Happy to admit I was wrong about TMac and BBB both were very solid today…most pleasing thing for me was how tough and hard we were, had Bulldogs players jumping out of the way…I thought last week the Swans out hunted us so great to see the “1 wood” back

Who cares Binman, stay positive.

Saviour the moment. Seize the day. We have a full week to analyse.

Beveridge has rocks in his head.

Caleb sub (who traditionally kills us) and Macrae in the 2s.

Please get fired.

I was working today and could only glance at the scores. Looking forward to the replay.

Great win, and very pleasing to note we didn't allow 3 junk time goals to win by a meagre 10 points. We put our foot on their throats and ground them into the ground. THIS is the Dees of late 2021.

And I will continue to believe that we are a better team with BBB in it, with 2 qualifications:

  • If he is able to do 2nd efforts, he stays in the team, if not, his time is over.
  • He needs to provide 1-2 goals a game, and keep contesting in the air.

It sounds really promising about Hore, Windsor & Billings. I am very surprised about Billings, but happy to be wrong.

Get fired? We want him there for life

No doubt you will analyse it all for hours and hours during the week

What was the whole May getting into his face? Felt  more than just a bit of banter.

I think Harmes went hard on May, gave a bit of niggle and Maysy wasn't having a bar of it.  Seriously how stupid would Harmes have to be going May.

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

A few years ago, the Melbourne Football Club produced a documentary about the decade in which it rose from its dystopic purgatory of regular thrashings to the euphoria of a premiership victory. That entire period could have been compressed in a fast motion version of the 2025 season to date as the Demons went from embarrassing basket case to glorious winner in an unexpected victory over the Dockers last Saturday. They transformed in a single week from a team that put in a pedestrian effort of predictably kicking the ball long down the line into attack that made a very ordinary Bombers outfit look like worldbeaters into a slick, fast moving side with urgency and a willingness to handball and create play with shorter kicks and by changing angles to generate an element of chaos that yielded six goals in each of the opening quarters against Freo.
