Petracca 900k a year, he's got to earn it in finals FFS

Can't kick a goal for peanuts.

We're a serious chance of a straight sets exit

Trac has to kick this….misses. Tough kick though

Watch Pettraca miss

Can we just throw in a towel??

Stars major disappointment this game.

Petracca, Oliver and Viney have all been poor.

We've needed them to stand up and they've failed unfortunately.

Its been a major selection blunder.

The 3rd tall defender was why our defensive system was number 1 in the competition.

Here I was having faith back on our coaching staff again.

So disappointing

Extremely disappointing.

Honestly all I want to see in the last quarter is some [censored] fighting spirit, do it for GUS!!

We won't win today but at least show you care and don't want another straight sets. It's looking like one at the moment.

if we can kick straight we can do this... but we need to play with speed and kick straight, nothing to lose now.

We need 26 to win and we have scored 33 in 3 quarters…

(That’s without the pies kicking a single point in the last quarter mind you)

Watch us start with absolutely no gusto or desire to get this game back on our terms.

So many people off the pace of this game.

Yep and would be 4/4 choke jobs

no reason why we shouldn’t have been able to win this game and any of the last 3 finals

What’s up with May? Looks very disgruntled on the Teev… Injured?

Well TMac is cooked. The forward lines are just not up to it.
Petty and Melksham may well have put us in front

But they are done

i Hate the Filth even more than this morning

I’m an optimist but I give us about a 1% chance here. Awful goal kicking.

Just when I was finally believing in Goodwin. H&A with this list is a non consequential, he needs to show some tools to win us finals.

JvR, McDonald, Smith and Fristch. We've never gone this tall throughout the season.

Meanwhile we've identified we play better with 3 key defenders and to allow lever and may to get their intercept going. So we drop our third defender.

This was lost at selection.

If we lose, it's been well and truly lost in the midfield....very sorry for the forwards actually. Backs are working overtime because of the mids too. Just odd.

3rd

x 49 inside 50s vs 33!!! 5 goals behind

x so many chances so many chances

x Trac is a good player - not great not elite

x stupid play … may

x stupid taking advantage

x kozzzy and Trac - kick a goal from 25 metrs out

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
