Bloody hope it’s not as bad as it looks. He’s absolutely earned his place in this team and we need his dynamism 👌

It’s almost certainly season ending. Just hope he gets back for pre season. But it’s just such bad luck for the bloke roughing it out in 2s for so long.

Magnificent performance. Superb preparation for finals.

I’m surprised some of us supporters still think we wouldn’t try to win. Goes against everything we stand for as a team. This team will never never never ever tank or not give their all. Ever.

Looking forward to finals. And feeling super confident. Good luck rest of the comp. It’s going to take a serious effort to beat us.

go dees

Garry Lyon reckons one of our most impressive wins of the season, not far off I reckon.

Wish it was just little more bruise free!

Milks injury takes the shine off it.

But it was still a tough win.

We seem to get caught napping after half time and don't make things easy for ourselves

But I reckon the fitness of Trac, Viney, Rivers and a couple of others always helps us grind these games out .

It was Sydney whose tackles weren't sticking in the last quarter and despite having a key fwd to down, we kicked five in a row.

Glad we won!

Winning form is the best form.

Was an extremely tough and hard fought win in front of a hostile crowd at the SCG.

Was extremely worried about Jake Melksham (and Bayley Fritsch) regarding their injuries. Hopefully they are both ok?

Jack Viney, Christian Petracca and Bayley Fritsch all played brilliantly!

Certainly a great game to play leading into the finals. It will have us toughened up and ready for the Magpies.

In some good news, apparently Brodie Grundy kicked 3 goals (and had 33 disposals) and Tom McDonald kicked 5 goals at VFL level. So some "good" selection headaches.

Kosi looks more comfortable leading out of the square. Pace and leap a real threat.

I have said this time and time again you do not leave the 50 meter arc full stop and I would add Fritta to that, let there opposition go up the ground, less congestion going forward.

Gees I was worried when Fritta was off with his foot, Milkshake with his knee, and Bowey with his shoulder - I thought our resurgent forward line was looking a bit shaky and the last thing we needed was an injury. Fingers, legs, arms crossed for Melksham.

I loved the look of our forward line with JVR, Smith, Melksham, Fritta supported by Chandler and Kossie and cameos from Trac and the poor kicking for goal backline (Rivo and Maysie, you know who I'm referring to). What a game from Fritta first game back.

Nice to see Gawny, Trac, Clarry and Fritta on the bench in the last. Not so nice for Salo who copped one and was looking to come off.

Great win, I didn't think we'd do anywhere near that well. Bring on the pies.

If Milkshake is out, I’d roll with Laurie. Had 9 touches in 28 mins, a few score involvements, 8 pressure acts.

He was very good but the question is how much was it because he was fresh legs coming on with both sides pretty stuffed.

There’s no doubt Laurie’s best would be really handy, but there’s a risk he’s beaten for pace and can’t get out of traffic against an aggressive quick pies side.

How are Collingwood favourites for the Qualifying Final? Is it simply because most punters are supporters of those sides and there are more Collingwood supporters? I don't get it. Surely at best for them it should be dead even in the odds / Premiership race, given finishing 4th is the same as 1st this year (because of the venue). Not sure wearing white shorts and a royal blue jumper will inhibit us...

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

Many warned that this was a danger game and the Demons were totally outclassed all game by a young Eagles team at Optus Stadium in Perth as they were defeated by 35 points.

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
