I apologise to Melksham for hiding in the bathroom for his kick on goal.

Whatevs. He shouldn't have been sleeping.

I apologize to my husband also, who I cursed for what I thought was a loss. But the man delivered again.

As long as the door was closed and children not in ear shot

8 (hopefully 10/11 if needed) games to go, so he must go to all remaining games

Unfortunately it’s very difficult when you have kids.
But I shall drag him to as many as I can.
He was the only one who said we could still win it in the last and I was so mad at him 😂

Yes I get the kids thing, remember those days. Enjoy it before you know it they’re older teenagers who you hardly ever see

Australians are very good at apologising. They do it non stop 24/7.  I think it was Kevin Rudd who started it all when he was briefly PM.

Never lost faith in MFC. I was only critical of their dreadful innacuracy and sacrificing a home game (and 4 points)  to GWS. Still could cost us by R24 . Smith and Melks are playing in agood side which helps with their form. They stay.

Can win the flag if Oliver and Fritsch recover in time.6

I turned off when we were down 28. I apologise

Which time?

It will get overlooked I reckon, but iirc they had a 28 point lead, we scored a goal to make it 22, then they scored again to tak it back out again.

We scored once more in the third, but daniher got the first of the last to make it a 26 point lead again.

That's impressive. Normally when teams run down say a five goal deficit the margin doesn't yo yo.

Is that how you normally do apologies?

Sorry. Not sorry.

I apologize to all the people I abused online and otherwise*. I really really didn’t think we’d get up like that. Unbelievable effort.

*Except Zorko the worthless slug

Came on here to see if the facepalm posters to my 3/4 time post that "we could still win this game" had the courage to put their hand up - but sadly they haven't. But there is plenty of time yet ......

what does KR have to do with anything? leave it out

Apologies to my son who I told not to swear whilst I continued to swear throughout the game. He even stuck up for me when a Bris fan had a crack before the almighty comeback

Mia culpa - when Melksham took that flyer on the wind (>>  Kozzie running goal) I posted that he hadn't been sighted since his mis kicks in the first quarter.

Woke my whole family in Rd 23 in 2021 running around the house like a lunatic.

My wife thought the house was being burgled.

I only internally scream watching games on the TV.

And I am a Melksham apologist so I am glad he did that.

Makes me smug.

And I like that…

My scarf was wrapped over my eyes, dropped it only when the roar started up

Apologies to the Brissy supporter who was having a meltdown and I asked him is there anything I can do to help. I think it was the straw that broke him.

  • REPORT: Geelong

I was disappointed to hear Goody say at his post match presser after the team’s 39 point defeat against Geelong that "we're getting high quality entry, just poor execution" because Melbourne’s problems extend far beyond that after its 0 - 4 start to the 2025 football season. There are clearly problems with poor execution, some of which were evident well before the current season and were in play when the Demons met the Cats in early May last year and beat them in a near top-of-the-table clash that saw both sides sitting comfortably in the top four after round eight. Since that game, the Demons’ performances have been positively Third World with only five wins in 19 games with a no longer majestic midfield and a dysfunctional forward line that has become too easy for opposing coaches to counter. This is an area of their game that is currently being played out as if they were all completely panic-stricken.

  • PREGAME: Essendon

Facing the very real and daunting prospect of starting the season with five straight losses, the Demons head to South Australia for the annual Gather Round, where they’ll take on the Bombers in search of their first win of the year. Who comes in, and who comes out?

  • NON-MFC: Round 04

Round 4 kicks off with a blockbuster on Thursday night as traditional rivals Collingwood and Carlton clash at the MCG, with the Magpies looking to assert themselves as early-season contenders and the Blues seeking their first win of the season. Saturday opens with Gold Coast hosting Adelaide, a key test for the Suns as they aim to back up their big win last week, while the Crows will be looking to keep their perfect record intact. Reigning wooden spooners Richmond have the daunting task of facing reigning premiers Brisbane at the ‘G and the Lions will be eager to reaffirm their premiership credentials after a patchy start. Saturday night sees North Melbourne take on Sydney at Marvel Stadium, with the Swans looking to build on their first win of the season last week against a rebuilding Roos outfit. Sunday’s action begins with GWS hosting West Coast at ENGIE Stadium, a game that could get ugly very early for the visitors. Port Adelaide vs St Kilda at Adelaide Oval looms as a interesting clash, with both clubs form being very hard to read. The round wraps up with Fremantle taking on the Western Bulldogs at Optus Stadium in what could be a fierce contest between two sides with top-eight ambitions. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons besides us winning?

  • POSTGAME: Geelong

The Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, falling to 0–4 after a more spirited showing against the Cats at Kardinia Park. Despite the improved effort, they went down by 39 points, and the road ahead is looking increasingly grim.
