This is by far THE WORST SELECTIONS of all Time? Friggen Spare parts in on what,????

BBB to battle 4 on one with our incessant bombing! HARMES, MELKSHAM, ANB PUTRID last week. SMITH stiff. GOODWIN and selectors have TOTALLY lost the plot

Im filthy tonight!!🤬

Smith stiff? 5 disposals & no goals means you're out! Surely you mean JVR stiff for not being selected?

He wasn’t playing in front. His opponent led him to the ball and took some important intercept marks from quick kicks out of stoppage.
Very slow to read the play at times

Not sure there’s much more he can do with his limited footy iq. He’s been led to the ball and let his opponents intercept and charge out of defense this past few weeks. His lack of forward craft has been a key reason our forward line hasn’t functioned.

Just thought they could have given him a bit more time see if he had anything to offer. He would have had to start improving rapidly, but won't get a chance.

Like I said, it will be hard for him to find his way back, and as you both say, given his skill set, and developmental delays.

His only hope left is as sub, with a big impact.

Going in again with no recognised CHF after also losing Frisch? Why no JVR or Petty forward with Tomlinson back? The coach has lost the plot with his midget setup.

That should be BB if JVR was playing.

Apparently this coaching group is of the belief that a genuine tall CHF is not necessary in the modern game.

Either that or they feel our game style has this critical position well & truly covered with our mediums & smalls.  And/or Gawn & Grundy.  Both of whom are only averaging a goal every other game so far this season.

If you are putting one up forward it should be Grundy who is at least a better kick at goal this season running at 66% accuracy vs Max's 39%

I just want to know the reason for JVR getting dropped? Kicks three and still can't get in without a reason. Too good for VFL.

If you're referring to his last game at Casey vs GWS he kicked 4

Interesting out in J.Smith.

I wander what they want him to work on?

He has been getting through a few games now (uninjured),  the wet last week. I thought he deserved one more look at AFL level.

The VFL really won't improve bim. Will need to dominate at that level to get back in if dropped completely.

Hope they use him as a sub specialist.

I reckon there's a good chance smithy will be the sub.

In some ways, with his athleticism and ability to play tall, he's the perfect sub as he can play so many roles (albeit to variable levels).

He is our only player with a kicking efficiency above 50% 😡😡

I Like most of the changes, but think JVR had to be in not Melksham.

Hopefully this is because they are managing JVR's workload in the VFL and giving him a break whilst still getting footy into him.

Now reward Chandler/Spargo if they have form in the VFL and if Kossie/ANB are not performing they get dropped.

Not with King and Caminiti forward. Goody intermated they won't be tweaking the defensive 7 anymore too.

If that’s the case and they are trying something different up forwards then I’m all for it.

I think they will go with Harmes. They know what they will get with him, and seem to be using experienced players as subs now. He would be better suited to doing and following a role.

My guess is they want Joel to work on something, similar to JVR.

Well at least the English have done the right thing again.

Won the toss and sent the Aussies in to bat.

That's 3 - Zip to Australia in the bag!

Maybe we need to drop out of the eight before we Goody decides to make wholesale changes. I wish Smith played forward years ago , playing back has resulted in several injuries. Getting dropped probably means that he will be delisted along with Harmes. Looks like we are going to play smaller thou slight . I expect us to lose . no Oliver no Melbourne.

3 away games in a row … show me if Collingwood, Geelong , Richmond are doing this, keep on flying to Alice to play on a suburban ground, let’s put 4 points as a secondary objective. Who signed off to this fixture?

On the money with that, though I expect us to win.

We really miss that breaking out of the front of packs with him, doing or assisting. Tracc looked tired with him not there. He was also working into the backline, and is often the loose player in the corridors.

Melksham (6 disposals last week) - IN, JVR (4 Goals at Casey last week) - OUT, BBB our only tall marking forward on a guaranteed dry ground. WTF!

Is it just me? Or did they hand around the happy gas at the selectors meeting this week?

Melksham gets to 100 games with the club this week doesn't he?

Yep and I thought it might be as sub against Roos.

A poor game will be his last.

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had
