Can't argue with most peoples votes. Petty was on target to get plenty of my votes before he was subbed. Was marking everything 👌

Honourable mentions;

Harrison Petty

Steven May

Michael Hibberd

Edward Langdon

Max Gawn

From the Director's Chair;

The Harrison Petty experiment is beginning to bear fruit as a tall forward. Looked more assured and delivered until his early injury exit. Lapses in centre bounce clearances, given our purported midfield ranking gave the opposition belief. Goody and Yze will need to be burning the midnight oil on this one.

Adjudication;

No real complaints.

Broadcast;

Chief held up with a superior support staff. Just.

Great team effort tonight, 6 other players could have shared in the votes tonight. Agree Petty was excellent until injured.

6 Hibberd  I know we are blinded by possessions but he had a great game

Thought Viney would have more points, having a fantastic season to date.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

    Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

    Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
