Casey playing up there, aren’t they?

Yep 11 am start. If going there to watch you will need to go out of ground after and return in when gates open at 2.30pm

Casey game is on the Gold Coast as well I think

Sorry.. already posted

Could be a good night on the town for all !!

Thank god this game is on the Gold coast, can you imagine going to the game this Saturday at the G for a 4.30 start. Max temp 13 for the day with showers. Kayo with a nice red sounds like heaven by comparison.

In regards to it being tough to break into the team, I really do hope that anybody that has a niggle is being rested when they should. Don't want the same thing to happen this year as last getting to the back end of the season and those players with niggles playing when they shouldn't be.

Hmm no Spargo - you don’t wanna get an injury with this team, hard to get back in!

Especially when your pre injury form wasn't great

Are you certain he passed all protocols?  Maybe he missed a couple of key milestones and needs another week?

Where’s Spargo? Also, surely Hibberd is a late out and someone like Schache comes back in so Petty can go down back? Suns have got 3x 195cm+ forwards and they’ve brought in Casboult.

Weather forecast also says it’ll be a dry game.

Or maybe he simply didn't make the team purely because how well we're travelling and the form of Pickett, Nibbler and now Chandler who are just much more dynamic at ground level.

It's a hard side to crack. He'll just need to bide his time.

I don’t think there was anything wrong with Spargo’s form pre injury. He’s kicked 2 goals three times in 4 and a bit games and was his usual self with score involvements and goal assists.

Harmes for sub IMHO.

With the VFL the game before the seniors, are players withheld in case of an injury during warm-up? Perhaps one of the other emergencies get pulled out of the VFL game at half-time in case we end up needing them as a sub, and the player  who was supposed to be sub, gets promoted?

Same weather as Hobart mate. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Every chance. Time's passed when clubs take any risk with concussion.

But we'll see.

If he plays in the VFL game on Saturday prior to the one's game you'd assume concussion is not a concern.

Weather is great up here. Nice warm days around 23-27degrees and cool nights so expect first half to be in warmish conditions then maybe the cool night air will come down around 5.30- 6.00 pm. By that time I hope we are heaps in front.

Some big outs for GC. The ones missing have played a significant impact in some of those win this year.

Personal opinion: Spargo may be stranded in Casey team for some time.

Yes will be hard gig as Casey forward line is currently land of the giants. Lots of roving opportunities but very hard to apply pressure by yourself….

Where did you read this? It’s not on the MFC website.

Spargo not named a surprise if he has passed protocols. Shows how fierce the competition is for spots if he’s fit.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
