you’re keen David but i like it

i hope we smash those delusional twats

Today should be a regulation take the 4 points and move on game. We are contenders, Essendon are pretenders.

If the weather turns out to be as ****ty as some are suggesting then that may prove something of an equaliser.

Would be a highlight to see someone run over the "choirboy" Parish. Stringer can turn it on, but against us, he'll find it a difficult proposition surrounded by quality defenders.

I actually don't mind Draper. Good ruckman and useful up forward so will make Grundy work.

Tip. Kozzie to kick four in another 50 point win.

PS. My sources inform that @WalkingCivilWar is currently in a horseless carriage and on route to Adelaide. Imagine being in the same vehicle for that journey! Poor bastards!

I think it’s time to start a Deathriding thread for Essendon.

I know we don’t have their draft pick but I hate them so much!

Grey sky and very wet early this morning, it rained overnight and currently we have a light drizzle.

Love another 50 point win. Alas it may be close.

Or some good old fashioned jumper waving after the win.

Ugh. Working in a secure environment until about 6.30. Not even phones.

Boooooo.

Add an extra yell for me, all right?

I'll probably watch the game on replay anyway, so if it is a proper thriller please name the match thread 'Spoiler Alert'.

How many Essendon players would get into our team? Stringer perhaps, if he did a 6-week intensive strength and conditioning program. Merritt maybe. I like Ridley and Draper but we have superior players in their positions.

We are a much better team and should be aiming for a regulation 5-6 goal win.

If it's wet, we win by 15 if its dry we win by 35.

I’ll have you know that I have the very important job of keeping the others awake. And I’m nailing it! Maybe nailing it a little too much, one of them just asked me if I’d like a pillow for when I doze off. 🤭 Not happenin’ anytime soon though coz…

Rookie error, girls. Don’t let me loose in the servo. 😁

Dees win today, AND Pies get the job done tomorrow (which they will as another pretender a la Blues goes down), Monday morning the MFC is top of the ladder.  Then come and get us.

Yay finally game day. Watch a dees win then off to date night with Mrs KikA, perfect evening!

Doing the same thing azz.

Have offloaded the 10 year old on the granddad. Off to see "Sh*tfaced' Shakespeare - love the comedy festival 😄

Sunny but windy this side of the Maribyrnong this morning. 30km bike ride already done and bacon & egg roll and 2nd coffee already demolished. Let's shake off the setback of our 2023 draft placings momentarily and focus on the red & blue buzz saw that will be adding Essendon to the wood chip pile this afternoon.

Nutritious breakfast WCW.

We just have to thrash them. I don't want a close game, I don't want to see stringer kicking goals. Lets make there supporters afternoon miserable. Oh and Brad Scotts to.

Bucketing down here in the red centre.

If the forecast for rain in Adelaide looks like being accurate, BBB should be replaced

Very sceptical about BBB playing if there's steady rain

Would love a ten goal flogging of the Bombers, of course always happy to just win and take the four points.

Agree with many posters, if it pours JJ in for BBB seems to make sense!

Kossie for 5.2 this week!

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.
