We lost clearance when it mattered, our tackles didn’t stick, we were undisciplined and gave away 3 goals from 50s,  our inside 50 method was horrible for most of the game again and we missed gettable shots.

Outfought, outmarked, outrun and outcoached by a vastly superior team on the night. In a  nutshell, totally outplayed. Only plus was Steven May's superb job on Buddy. TMac surely has to be considered for next week.

Beaten.

Beaten by intensity and a better coach on the night.

Every normal Avenue we usually go to had a swans player ready to cut it off:

We were beaten.

We have a 2-11-1 record against Sydney at the MCG since 2002.

let that sink in.

Yep I've been at the G for many of those losses. I really hate losing to them here. Or anywhere obviously, but especially here.

Angus Brayshaw - 20 disposals, 11 turnovers.

Back to the wing please.

Absolutely. He just isn’t good enough with his disposal for the middle.

2.57 on Sportsbet for the swans was blatant robbery

if you didn’t load up on that you have rocks in your head

How's the bath water you're gulping down?

Sydney were very, very good tonight. They just played one of those games.

We’ve played one of those games before. Just not tonight.

Onward and upward.

Our forwards take no ownership.

May two huge momentum killers when 16 and 12 points up.

Angry reacts only

Beaten by a better team, no need to panic

We were a little bit off outside of a couple of patches, very confident we will bounce back against the Lions next week

lots of teams who win multiple flags have lost qualifying finals

I feel sorry for the Victorian fans who had to wait 12 months to experience that rubbish

Wish the boys had of thought about us poor Vic supporters. Very hard to watch. Wish Goody would've made changes in the second half. Having blind faith in the system doesn't always work.

Not sure what much more Oliver could have done. Oliver was simply incredible.

Sydney were simply awesome, no team would have beaten them tonight,

But or forward line has some work to do otherwise our season ends next week or the one after.

Gus did not lose us this game. Too many mistakes by too many, and too few putting in. Thank god for May and Oliver, or it would have been a walkover.

Write the game off ... just a bad night.  Sydney were just too good and they taught us a lesson

But we've got the double chance so all is not lost.  We live to fight another day

We'll go with the same line-up I believe and I'm confident we'll beat Brisbane

Do that and we are in a PF

Oliver, May and Petty aside, we were weak, fumbly and unfocused.

I have said all season that our best is the best, but we have been at our best only a small handful of times this year. Today we were below average. Midfield was an embarrassment and forwardline performed as it has all year, badly.

Going to have to beat the Lions and then Collingwood or Geelong to make it. and i'm guessing Sydney again in the grand Final.

Just not our night.

ANB was horrible, Melksham would have lost his spot, LJ was shocking.

Add Salem to that lot. Putrid disposal again. Bring Bowey back.

Forward line disappears after half time need more structure and a CHF. Not a makeshift one like Gawn/Dogga.
