that's game for the Swannies, they are not Carlton, Don't like all the nerves about Collingwood we need to beat everyone.

Epic perfect result we get Swans at home and Cats cop Pies rather than Freo at Cat park. Win win what a weekend

Would just rather play a travelling team.

Me too but we shouldn't be fearing anyone.

See you all at the G! (Not that there was any doubt that would happen though, hope we bring our away game to the home ground though)

Not sure why. Our record interstate is better than at the G.

I want the home game, so I can go and watch it.

Any idea when tickets will go on sale?

This is the result I wanted.

With the Filth getting up the way they did, no way did I want to play them week one.

Swannies at the G is a more promising prospect for me

When you reckon we play? I reckon Sat night we will play, Geel v Coll Friday Night.

Believe the club was going to send out emails tonight.

Perfect results today in the end.
We play Swans at home and Geelong have to deal with a red hot Pies full of confident and crackhead fans.

I'd rather play the Pies in a GF than a PF where their crowd dominates. In a GF there's enough neutrals to remove that advantage.

You forget 2010.

Well played Saints. Thank you!

Am I right in saying that all our finals will be at the MCG?  Even if we lost to Sydney we wouldn't be playing in Sydney on the Prelim Final weekend

Win or lose and we stay at the MCG throughout

No finals at Geelong this year due to the big redevelopment.

I personally think Sydney have the best game style to beat us, Collingwood probably second. Where going to have to play very close to our best to beat them.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.

  • POSTGAME: North Melbourne

The Demons are finally back at the MCG and finally back on the winners list as they continually chipped away at a spirited Kangaroos side eventually breaking their backs and opening the floodgates to run out winners by 6 goals.
