We have one of the best coaches in the game; proven to be able to win flags. He’s young. Probably the best players coach since Clarkson and we are going to just throw that away for an unproven Yze? Unless Goodwin is done with it all, we will keep him till the end of the decade surely. 7 Quote

Pretty risky taking a coaching gig at the Bombers. The thing that tipped Brad's ego over the edge now is Chris' success. Chris Scott is now approaching Hardwick, Clarkson (pending investigation) type status and I am sure there is a bit of jealousy there... sibling and twins rivalry Adem Yze may end up the perennial bridesmaid ala Brian Royal, R Harvey haha, although his skill set is much different... 4 Quote

Yeah I can't help but think that as well. Twin bro tastes the ultimate success and now the burn is suddenly back! 1 Quote

Demon Disciple 12,529 Posted September 29, 2022 Posted September 29, 2022 Barely 24 hours since he has indicated he will submit to the coaching process and he has the gig. Very thorough indeed. 6 Quote

It’s a big enough risk for Essendon to go another inexperienced coach without this hanging over their head. Quote
Demons1858 1,820 Posted September 29, 2022 Posted September 29, 2022 Feel for Yze who deserves a shot, but glad for us - may be a bleessing in disguise for him given they aren't the most stable club 1 1 Quote
DeeSpencer 26,667 Posted September 29, 2022 Posted September 29, 2022 Essendon have so little faith in themselves they have to hire a career 50% coach who fell in to some prelims and left a giant mess behind him? Yze dodged a bullet if this is what they prefer. 2 1 Quote

Lord Travis 10,817 Posted September 29, 2022 Posted September 29, 2022 The shadow of the Hawks investigation cost him in the end, whether involved or not. Bad luck to Yze. We get him for another year before he likely lands a senior coaching gig elsewhere. Quote
BDA 23,048 Posted September 29, 2022 Posted September 29, 2022 (edited) I think Yze will look back at this and thank his lucky stars. Not the right club for him. He's been on the brink a few times which is no doubt frustrating for him but his time will come. Edited September 29, 2022 by BDA 6 Quote
red and blue forever 1,074 Posted September 29, 2022 Posted September 29, 2022 Oh dear. I guess we will just have to keep the oooooze Quote
layzie 34,528 Posted September 29, 2022 Posted September 29, 2022 Well they reckon they went through a clear and structured process so we have no choice but to believe them.. 1 Quote
rjay 25,424 Posted September 29, 2022 Posted September 29, 2022 So I'm guessing Adem stays with us for the time being unless there are any moves at Brisbane or North. Another year at the MFC then I reckon he will pick something up in 2023/2024 season after a 2nd premiership. Port, WC, something and or someone will drop out. 1 1 Quote
Travy14 2,142 Posted September 29, 2022 Posted September 29, 2022 I wish all the best for Uze, but I really didn't want to see him at Ess. God I hate that mob! Might be at Port next year after Ken gets sacked 2 Quote
darkhorse72 1,943 Posted September 29, 2022 Posted September 29, 2022 Great Scott! It will be interesting to see what he can do with a wealthy club compared to the Roos. Yze will get his chance. Odds on there will be 2 vacancies next year, maybe more re: hawks mess. Quote

dazzledavey36 56,274 Posted September 29, 2022 Posted September 29, 2022 Btw I'm disappointed for Yze.. it's his absolute ambition to become a senior coach and once again he's missed out.. Must be completely deflating. Poor bugger 1 1 Quote
