Really? That’s funny. Give us an example

As someone else pointed out it looks like it is part of a sponsorship with Intrepid so that kinda makes sense.  Reminded me of how my dad would use Instagram if he knew what it was, which is probably why I posted my comment!

Just bumping this because of how much I’m loving grundys instagram engagement. He’s always quick to give a teammate a pat on the back or pump up. From my cheap seats reading his comments, it always appears perfectly genuine and very aligned with the good team ethos we hope for. The itch to see his cohesion with clarry at stoppage and petracca in general play is starting to overwhelm me. Bring on round one!

Agreed, the end is nigh!  He seems like a thoughtful and team oriented person.  Even better, he's often informally training with some of the other boys which bodes well for cohesion.  In that first week he understandably seemed sad to leave the Filth after 10 years and a bit uncertain about us, but now he seems very comfortable with us!

I like how he acknowledged, and appreciated getting to meet, 'the supporters' (good on you, Twatchers!) And i'n't 'e good with the camera  too!

Who's the interviewer, btw? Has she taken over from Benny G? Or any news on who has?

Maybe it’s just the fact he’s clean shaven, but he looks like he’s slimed down quite a bit.

He seems like a really nice guy. No wonder Collingwood wanted him gone.

He's much less slimy since he left Collingwood.

I must admit that Brodie Grundy is really starting to grow on me, can he really have come from Collingwood.!!!

Everytime i listen to him I love him even more.

He seems to really have bought into the club, which is great to see. Always admired his work-ethic at the Pies, love him even more now he’s a Dee.

If you believe the above story, Grundy will be our number 1 ruck with Gawn playing 70% up forward.

Well, if that's true, let's hope Gawny has been practising his set shots on goal

Not afraid to show his emotions about the lack of support from his coach and his club, I liked his comment I will (fn) see you on queens birthday. Let’s hope we can harness his talent so that he becomes a Melbourne premiership player and how good would it be against the Pies.!!

Man i'm starting to like Grundy!  so honest.  MacRae gave him zero support and wouldn't talk to him about a trade!  that is such poor management.

That line about I'll see you at QB has got me so fired up.  He will snap Cox in two!

Brodie has always been a very articulate person. Hopefully he has a point to prove deep in his guts to Club Filth

Suprised his previous Coach, gave him no support through negotiations. Maybe they never got on from the start.

Now who said that on here when the trade happened?

Not him was it the other ruckman Will Verrall

I thought Grundy played very very well today. He is a a different Ruckman to Max but he is very effective. IF they both rotate deep forward ( like today)opposition coaches will be faced with nightmare matchups!!

I was there at Moorabin today and Grundy was impressive. In one particular passage of play, Grundy unselfishly dished off a clever handball to a fellow Demon when he could have had a shot at goal, but it resulted in a string of play resulting in a goal. I thought it deserved praise so I yelled out "Onya Reg!". The crowd in my immediate vicinity found the comment amusing and there was significant communal giggling. Perhaps the nickname will stick...

  • GAMEDAY: West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?

  • FEATURE: 1925

A hundred years ago today, on 2 May 1925, Melbourne kicked off the new season with a 47 point victory over St Kilda to take top place on the VFL ladder after the opening round of the new season.  Top place was a relatively unknown position for the team then known as the “Fuchsias.” They had finished last in 1923 and rose by only one place in the following year although the final home and away round heralded a promise of things to come when they surprised the eventual premiers Essendon. That victory set the stage for more improvement and it came rapidly. In this series, I will tell the story of how the 1925 season unfolded for the Melbourne Football Club and how it made the VFL finals for the first time in a decade on the way to the ultimate triumph a year later.
