If you look at it the value of each pick using the points system, the cats end up being slightly ahead with this trade.  Ultimately it will depend on how much the Cats want Henry to fill the void when Tomahawk retires.

The points system is indicative value to allows F/S and academy bids. The need to constantly look at points value to convince oneself that a club would abandon a top selection is utter nonsense. Picks 13 and 35 do not ‘equal or exceed’ Pick 7.

‘ I have 4 picks in the 20s - can you please give me pick 1 please?’ 🙄

Don't tell me we're gonna roll over to this mob for pick 13 and whatever for a questionablly fit/capable lumbering ruckman??

If so SG & the FD have seriously lost the plot.

Here we go, Blo.dy hell.

You misread. We should trade Dees picks 13, 27 and F2 for Cats picks 7, 25.  Win-win-win if Dees want to land Grundy, Cats want to land Henry and Pies want better draft picks from Cats and Dees.

27 for Grundy,  well done Dees that is a steal!

At least the club recognised that Grundy was a salary dump, unlike some on here who were happy to give up a 1st rounder.

Well done to Tim Lamb for not giving up anymore than pick 27. But the question is how much of Grundy's contract we are paying.

Bro-dee Grun-dee

It was meant to be

The G&G Ruck Factory. Hopefully he gets back to his best. He'd be fairly motivated  to stick it up the Pies.

What 27 for Grundy? Isn't that our offer?

We nailed that!

Great get Dees!

We lost on the Jackson trade, but at least we won big time on this one.

Absolute bargain for a top 5 AFL ruckman.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
