POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Geelong

Oh well

We played [censored] football. Too many passengers. Dreadful disposal. Outnumbered too often.

Also we gave them a couple of Junk times so if that is Geelong's best on their own dungheap, I don't fear them on the G in September.

Sparrow such a poor decision maker, put a line through him long term, shame

We were run ragged.  Mid field over run.  Talls ineffective.

Smashed in the clearances. maybe better with Weid and Mitch rucking. Gawn and Jackson more or less useless.

Loading 😉 Every loss can be blamed on loading 😉

Geelong made us look slow.....

That wasn’t Geelong, it was the game plan and the narrow ground. It’s not rocket science why they make finals every year and then bomb out.

I guess only tie will tell but maybe it actually is this "loading" stuff.  It coincided with the time of our slump last year.  I realise the whole season training schedule has been set back by 4 weeks due to our success last year, so maybe things will improve at the business end..

Interesting Selwood said they feel like they were running on top of the ground. Sounds like they’ve timed their loading well. Better than us, anyway…

They won’t smash us like that in the midfield again so not going to panic. But we’ve got some work to do if that’s our strongest team.

meh. we were off almost alll game. Not even slightly worried when we come up against them at the G in september.

Some players were a bit slow to the ball and we did not move the ball with enough purpose. If we play like that next week, Port will beat us.
