Well you could have been my friend WCW but you foolishly knocked back my invitation to  a classy night out at Hooters.

Wait, do we have Hooters in Australia? I’ve only been in America. Their buffalo wings are delicious.

So much for winning a premiership makes you a destination club.

I fear Kozzie has the go home factor as well. (Just our luck)

He might go but it won’t be this year so better get another flag in 2023

I'm astounded that anybody could see AF's post as anything but champagne comedy.

We all need some chicken soup for the soul I think.

TBH I don't want another year of Jackson like speculation.

I'm of the mind to say sign or we trade.

The kid glove treatment of Jackson got us nothing but distraction

The chicken wings aren't bad either !!!!!

was that meant to be sarcasm?

asking for a friend

To me, sarcasm implies a level of unpleasantness or even nastiness.

I'd describe AF's post as satire.  Harmless, amusing and light-hearted.

It beggars belief that people have got their bloomers in a bunch over it.

Think clubs and supporters need to be more mature about trades, if he is a net positive still then you hold him to the contract, for the clubs part maybe they should also be more transparent at what is happening so there isn’t this speculation, if they know he is gone say so and we can just enjoy what time he has left

Yay.

Good luck to them. All the 'On The Couch' footage of A Carlton zone in shambles with defenders caught in no mans land stopped this year. I wonder why.

Howl me down all you like. Recruiting kids from interstate always makes me nervous. Every year we see kids go home for that reason. It's very deflating.

Tigers will have a VERY different side in 2023 at this rate

They'll be after Harry Mckay next year when Reiwoldt retires... maybe a second dynasty for the Tiges if they land Taranto, Hopper and Logue this year and Mckay next year. Well played IMO.

Logue, Hopper AND Tarranto??? With Dusty, Prestia, Rioli, Lynch and Bolton as well?

Geez, I'd like there to be an independent audit of each club's TPP in relation to the SC. Beats me how some can keep adding 'star' players each year

Nice. Genuinely happy that North have attracted some talent. (Some talent that I didn't want)

Good pick up by North, and a smart decision by Logue.

I'm thinking North's 2nd round pick or priority pick will get the trade done, with maybe a late pick swap North's way.

Really disappointing to hear that we're set to recontract Jake Melksham. Michael Hibberd I can understand because he has been consistent with his form all year, but Melksham..?

He's last couple of games showed that he's just past it. Other then the Carlton game he didn't much in any other games and he was incredibly poor against Sydney.

Played as the 2nd tall forward forward so that alone has chewed games off Jacob Van Rooyen who once again justified on the weekend that he was physically ready to go.

He's going to be 32 next year and our focus needs to be on the next wave of talent coming through like Laurie, Chandler, Bedford and Moniz-Wakefield.

If we can get an extra list spot to bring in another developing tall forward/ruckman then surely that makes more sense then keeping washed up 32 year old forward flanker.

Agree classic mates deal. It pays to be mates with the coach.

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.

  • CASEY: Collingwood

It was freezing cold at Mission Whitten Stadium where only the brave came out in the rain to watch a game that turned out to be as miserable as the weather.
The Casey Demons secured their third consecutive victory, earning the four premiership points and credit for defeating a highly regarded Collingwood side, but achieved little else. Apart perhaps from setting the scene for Monday’s big game at the MCG and the Ice Challenge that precedes it.
Neither team showcased significant skill in the bleak and greasy conditions, at a location that was far from either’s home territory. Even the field umpires forgot where they were and experienced a challenging evening, but no further comment is necessary.
