The umpiring was a stitch up.

Plenty to like though. Tracc 30 and 3, Oliver doing Oliver things, Langdon back to his best, May and Lever holding firm.

Hated the easy misses in the third quarter though. Brown and Bedford shouldn't be spraying them from 20 out.

Can’t believe not a word from Foxtel commentators on what was probably the worst umpiring performances this season.

Really happy for Mitch Brown to bag 2 goals, tried hard in the ruck, but way undersized.. Has been a great team man for Melbourne and deserved a bit of reward.

And that stat was also never shown on the coverage. I find it easier (less stressful)  to watch the games on TV with the sound off - but those commentators were desperately barracking for Adelaide.

Great win in hostile territory against that mob. Viney, no fear, on season form he deserves AA.
I’m sure that the ova shoulder against May on their ff, on the fifty line 2nd qtr I think, was actually his own teammates arm across his shoulder, fmd. I’m sure they try their best.

I was watching on Kayo and Jason Dunstall was talking up Clarry and Melbourne big time. “Oliver’s hands when he is being tackled are the best I have ever seen” and then Oliver handballed to Langdon 5m away when he had absolutely no right to. He is quite obviously a freak

Worst umpiring I’ve seen in years. None of our tackles rewarded, Adelaide paid marks over the boundary line, Tex Walker basically cheating the ruck system, high tackles not paid etc.

[censored], I loved it when we kicked those two quick goals in the last qtr and shut up those stupid Crom supporters and said a big F you to the umpires trying to steal it from us.

Also, blessed that we get to watch Oliver, Trac and Viney at their absolute best.

I put in the non mfc games forum I'd love to see one of our mids kick 3 goals like merrett did for the bombers today and Trac step up and di it. It was good to see him kicking straight again.

Mitch brown was really good today.  Tried really hard and held his own better and better in Ruck as game went on.  Also ran to good spots when playing forward

That blocking free against Brown was the worst decision of the year.

The umpiring is the biggest blight on our game and the only strategy the AFL has is to stop players complaining about it.

But hey, what about Robbie Williams at the Grand Final.

Priorities priorities

So, anyone wanna have a guess on Gil's email address?

We should all send him some feedback on that state of our game.

What about the non free when Oliver had his head ripped off right in front of the umpire in the last quarter? Unbelievable.

I don’t know what it is about bogan stadium but this is the second yr in a row the umps have been PATHETIC.

Lucky this time it didn’t cost us 4 points but my god they tried their best to get the cows over the line. It’s a disgrace.

Massively satisfying win. It genuinely felt like every marginal decision would be called or not called in Adelaide’s favour.

Has there ever been a player as likeable as Tex Walker? When he started leaning into tackles like Weightman, it took my affection to a whole new level.

- Petracca looking much more confident and dynamic.

-Langdon’s run was massively important responding to Adelaide in the last quarter.

Let’s all get on here and read about the umpires…

Great 12th win in hostile territory.

Mids were great and backs were intercept kings.

Kozzi was intimidating and got some help in that 3rd qtr.

Onto Mordor!

Great win with no rucks and unbelievably biased umpiring: at the ground I was just laughing at the decisions at the end what can you do?

Well in Dees silenced the haters.

Classic case of player looking at opponent rather than ball. Worst free I’ve seen for a long time

@Kent do you recognise that structurally we had some important players out?

We had 9 scoring shots more than them and won by 29 points...

There is probably 2 reasons and an outcome there that may help you make sense of your question.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
