@Deedubs Any more pearls of wisdom on how bad we are? I mean two games clear on top with fat percentage isn’t enough I reckon. Should be 12 games clear by now right?

We haven't played anyone in the top 4 and only 2 of the top 8 teams. We have a very hard fixture coming home.

I wouldn't have expected us to lose to WCE or North the last 2 weeks...so the last fortnight has taught us nothing other than we make every game a grind regardless of how bad the opponent is.

You can only play who you are are fixtured against based on the results of the previous season, the bulldogs , essendon, richmond port adelaide and st kilda were all supposed to be contenders this year.

Will do. But if we start dropping games against semi-decent teams regularly I'm going to keep people accountable for refusing to look at exposed form and sticking their head in the sand.

We won by a combined 21 goals! Christ!

There is nearly as much of a gap from us to second,  as there is from 2nd to 8th.  And people complain we aren't good enough 😒 😕 🙄

It is strange times when you watch neutral games and find yourself barracking for the Hawks and the Pies. Am I in a parallel universe? I can't help it, but have the Solvol ready for ritual cleansing and a priest  for absolution.

Last year showed that we clearly play better against top sides. We have played 2 sides currently in the 8 and beat them both comfortably. We also beat Hawks and GC who have given some top sides a real wake up call.
Bottom teams set themselves up to play us hard and it works for like a half. Top teams will play their own game, as the Saints did, and we will prove to be as good or better than them.

Thank you for agreeing to give it a rest

in the meantime we can deal with our exposed form of being 10-0

You will be on the ignore button, so you can suit yourself.
I knew this year would be a grind.
This Club only learnt to win a Flag again last year, and now they are learning how to defend their achievements on the run, against 17 other opponents who all want to kill us

So far we are 10-0

i am proud of the boys

Right- Do you understand??

now be quiet

These are the gateway to barracking for Essendon. 🤮

Yes, all of our unaccountability on this site is really going to have a big impact on our team’s performance.

They are pretty much just being Freo… look the goods only to run out of puff mid season. I’m half expecting Brisbane to do the same.

I'm not going to join the pile on of your view points...

And, what's your take on Brisbane losing and thus their chances against us, as well as perhaps Freo, considering where the game is at currently.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
