Complete hypothetical. If you could have a player from any team to join our list, who would you choose? You can either go all out for the flag or bring in youngsters to help sure up the future. Up to you!

I've done a Top 10

1. A. Naughton
2. S. Walsh
3. B.King (I think he's better than Max)
4. C.Curnow
5. Bailey Smith
6. Zac Bailey
7. Shai Bolton
8. Horne-Francis
9. Sam Taylor
10. Isaac Heeney

I've gone for a slight preference for Key Forwards up top because that's where we lack the most depth. Also, life after Ben Brown.  I've also valued younger players as they are more valuable to a list as they have more seasons in them.

Max King

Ben King

A Naughton

Tom Green

S Walsh

Horne francis

Bont

Bolton

Daicos

Rachele

The bont would look good in a demon jumper

I like both of these lists so far.

Neither of the King brothers work hard enough yet, but I would love Ben King and I still think he could be gettable in the near term.

I know it's not really the point of the thread to go realistic, but planning a future post McDonald and Brown is important, particularly to keep our window open. So King would be at the top of my list.

Dream scenario is Walsh, but equally, having Tom Green partner Oliver and Petracca is an incredible prospect.

Brayshaw. Pundits keep saying Angus might go to Freo to play with his brother. What about the opposite?

Would Freo offer Andrew Brayshaw for Luke Jackson?

Not saying we should take it, just saying.

Hopefully we can make a big splash in a year or 2 and trade in a KPF. Ben King or Harry McKay my preferences

Sean Darcy

Josh Daicos

Sam Collins

Charlie Curnow

Shai Bolton

Jordan Dawson

Tom Green

Aaron Naughton

Zac Bailey

Callum Mills

What do I win?

A garden variety mid for a potential once in a generation versatile big man.

My respect lol. I love the Sam Collins pick. The guy plays with Steven May type passion.

Nah

I am sure they would try to offer AB for LJ but I am also sure that that would not get the deal done.

Maybe it's just me but would much rather see ....

A realistic chance of getting said player from other club vs a whole lot of player 'wish lists'

Could we also add to this mature age (or other top end young talent!??) opportunities that some might be aware of on here that are sitting on secondary lists in the VFL, WAFL, SANFL etc right now and worth considering even as a mid season prospect if that's an option?

It’s an interesting one as longer term we need key forwards due to the age of whose on our list.

In the short term (2022/23) I’d still be keen on a lockdown defender for a Charlie Cameron/Heeney/Weightman type. Nev and Hibbo used to be great, and I’ve been super impressed with Hunt. It’s purely that the ground ball in defence is almost our only slight weakness.

As long as it is in a package containing their 10 first round picks for the next 10 years, of course we’d take it.

Is 'Once in a Generation' becoming the new 'Champion'???

Seems to get thrown around a lot.

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.
