Chol is playing very well for the suns. He's been a good pick up for them

Clearly enjoying not having to play 3rd/4th tall. Casboult has been very handy as well - limited player but doesn't lack effort

Wonder if he'd like playing 1st CHF in a top team?

Would need to get Melbourne-fit first though.

A couple of unanswered goals is all the need to put Pies out

Its only one goal to replace them.

Looks like 2022 Saints is what everyone was expecting in 2021. Paddy Ryder is just such a game changer for the Saints. More than a little happy to see the Blues go down as well.

In a few minutes, we will be the only undefeated team after the first four rounds………. and  we are yet to get out of second gear!  It’s a long season, but gee, we a are a class above right now!

That was so embarrassing from McKay.

That's absolutely fine worthy

The skills in the last qtr of blues v suns were absolutely disgraceful.

Makes our modest win over GC in oppressive conditions look better now. GC are a very good side at least early in the season and at home.

Back on top, to remain there for rest of 2022

Don't like getting ahead of ourselves but it really is ours to lose.

Did not see those last 2 games results coming. I gave the saints a chance but to win by that much is great.

At least we can look down on other teams now

So ... Demons win. Check.

Geelong win. Damn.

Pies lose. Check.

Dons win, just. But in a way that has their fans spitting chips. Pass mark.

Hawks lose. Check.

Blues lose. Check.

I rate this weekend 8/10

I can't get this comment from Goodwin out of my head after the win at GC.

28s mark

Are we seriously just riding games out to preserve our bodies?

I'd say so. Our more chaotic / high pressure style is unsustainable week in week out for 4 qtrs. Looks like if we get a comfortable lead we're content to park the bus.

It was the same as the game against Melbourne. Once the sun goes down at this time of the year the ball is like a cake of soap. That combined with the natural fatigue late in the game.

Percentage can be built by keeping the opposition scores low. If believable what he said we must be the only side that are pacing themselves on game days. We did have 2 short breaks and perhaps a wise decision to not run ourselves into the ground like some other clubs have already done. Defence uses less energy than offence.

Port game was only game we haven’t been behind at any stage.

Slowly emerging 🙏

Ryder bump very similar to the one May got pinged for in his preseason game for us - should cop a week

shouldn't, and shouldn't have. He  stopped and the "victim" cannoned into him.

She actually seems to have improved her calling, but that voice is inexcusable, regardless of what it says.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
