Cheating by the umps

How in the world was that not a Frittata mark?

Umps back to their std form

STD - quite appropriate really.

Is it super greasy, or have we forgotten how to mark a ball, or both? This is horrible to watch.

We've let them back into the game because of our dreadful finishing

Second half will be a grind

I'm pretty fu**ing [censored] off after that.

We have that much talent on the ground compared to them and are playing a weak brand of football.

Really disappointing.

Because he didn’t control an easy mark and was too busy looking where he was going to kick it before he took control of the ball

We should be 30 points up.

But no, once again our forward [censored] the bed when the opportunity presents itself.

Our backline is saving our bacon and doing a tremendous job down back.

Hope Steven May absolutely gives our forwards an absolute spray.

Umps aren’t influencing this game. Our poor execution is though.

Aside from a couple of 50/50s that have gone their way I didn’t the umpiring was too bad. But then again I did watch the dogs game last night so perhaps I have been desensitized.

Most frustrating game since the hawks draw.

We really are so much better than them - but poor execution, missed simple handballs... ugh. So frustrating

Terrible game of footy. We need to get back to basics, commit the body and just bank 4 points tonight. We’re in poor form so far this year, but like good teams do we’re grinding out wins despite not paying well.

Trac having a bad night.

Need more from Harmes, Kozzie, Friita and Tmac.

Sw our best forward.

Seriously I hope Goodwin tells them to get back to basics & get back to what we did well in that 1st quarter.

We tried to do a bit to much that quarter when we just had to do the first option.

It isn't pretty to watch

Oh and kicking goals would be a good start

Whoever said we’re playing like millionaires is spot on.

Gotta get back to a more contested game style.

It's like watching 10 years ago.

100%. But we seem to do that in every 2nd quarter we play.

Stop over possessing and get the ball moving forward.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
